Cutting Phillip Wheeler?

We are 2 years removed from having to sign the likes of Legedu Naanee because our cap was shot. Its already blown up in our face once, and as we are sitting here debating what it would take to get rid of some of our most recently signed players, it certainly seems like a second blast is coming right for us.

i don't think a naanee contract is one that would blow up your cap...teams make mistakes in free agency it's a risky way to do business...that's why you are better off building your roster in the draft...i get that we have sucked at the build in the draft thing in the past but that's what legit gms do...build thru the draft add a piece here or there in free agency

Not all employees are paid that way. Professional jobs are not like working at McDonalds.

I believe that all contracts should be honored in their entirety, like baseball. This would make GMs more hesitant to give large contracts to bums.

Round up a bunch of trash and ask your neighbor if you can store it in their house.

I agree with this ethically, but it'd be very bad for the game. The NFL has almost nothing to learn from baseball - except what not to do.

I would be ok with that if players can guarantee they can play at a certain level for the entirety of the contract. But we all know that isnt that case, and that's why there are limitations on what is guaranteed.

IF Wheeler were traded, the trading team would have to pick up his $5M guaranteed salary this year, and we still take a $5.6M cap hit. The trading team could re-structure his deal with a new signing bonus and different salaries.
