interesting to see what we do here.

clearly they are now a solidified 3-4. especially w/Capers on board.

we have some age on the line (Carter, Zgonina, JT, Holliday, Traylor). Wildcards to me are Manny Wright & Vickerson. did we cut Traylor?? if so, why haven't we pulled the trigger on Sam Adams??

I think LB/DLine now has to be the focus in the draft.

Keith Traylor is still under contract, and will probably stay that way unless we land a significant replacement. I actually think the current group of veterans on the dline should be fine for one more year, coupled with the further development of Wright, Vickerson, and I imagine a further second day project or two from the draft.

I believe the DL we have now is one of the better ones in the league, but for how long. Roth is the only young guy that has a very good chance to be something. Guys like Wright and Vickerson are wild cards. So I really want to see us get DL in the draft.

Our 3-4 Is Gona Be Crazy Down U Have (carter, Traylor, Holliday) (j.t, Crowder ,zach , Roth) Idk Give Me Some Feed Back

I don't see Roth being anything more than a Zgonina type role player. Wright and Vickerson have potential, but who knows. Think we need to stockpile some youth there and see what develops.

I like Wright and Vickerson and I'm happy with the vets. Lets get some secondary and another o-lineman or two and start planning for a playoff run.

Anyone else think that if we fill our OL and CB holes in FA that we may take a shot on Bunkley from FSU, the guy is an animal never been in a 3-4 but I think he could...

maybe we could trade down a bit and get manny lawson. if we cant trade down i say we should get chad greenway or ernie simms

Wright will be a star soon maybe this year. Vickerson is a project and will be good for depth/rotation. We do need some additonal youth on the line but Adams isn't an every down player he will be part of the rotation if we pick him up. Him and traylor side by side would be a heluva tandum in a goalline package.

Just imagine how solid of a d-line wall we would have in Holliday, Carter, Traylor, and Adams down near the goal line.

Actually Vickerson was way ahead of Manny till that cheapshot on him in preseason. I would like to give Roth another year before bringing in someone other than a possible JT replacement. Manny and Mario are good possibly great players but alot of people are not mentioning Kiwi from BC who would have been the first DE taken last year had he not returned. He will slip it looks like because alot of people are only raving over Manny and Mario so I don't think there is any need to trade our pick especially for a DE.

We don't need to draft another DT - we have 2 good young one's in Vickerson and Wright. I could see adding Adams if his salary demands are reasonable. I could see adding a DE in the draft because we need some youth there. I'd expect Roth to be alot better this year. We only have 3 picks before (no 2 ,5 or 6) the 7th rd so I can't imagine unless someone falls totally unexpected we can afford to draft other than a big need. Secondary would be #1 IMO. Saban should know this area real well! I could se OL in the 7th but not before. IMO we go secondary, WR, and maybe LB/DE before the 7th rd.

I think Manny Wright will breakout this year. Just my opinion but when he got playing time at the end of last year he showed ability to push the pocket and shed a block and stop the run.

With a good offseason/preseason I can see him starting for us.

As for Matt Roth, he is the only guy from last year's draft that doesn't seem to have the potential to be effective consisitently in this defense. Especially if we go more to the 3-4.

Seeing Vickerson play healthy will be exciting. And Vonnie Holliday still has a lot left IMO. But for insurance and to groom the youngsters bringing in Sam Adams would be good especially for depth and rotation.

As for draft I say if Tye Hill or Jimmy Williams aren't there at #16 take Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes to compete for #3 and eventually replace Booker.
