"He has done so, in part, with a lively, hands-on style. Daboll is loud. He freely slaps players' backsides. He yells. He celebrates big plays in practices with a loud scream. Once, during training camp, he dropped back into pass coverage during a drill with his wide receivers."
Tom Brady, the Patriots quarterback, reflected earlier this week on Daboll.
"He was a very good coach for us, a good friend," Brady said. "We spent a lot of time riding on the busses together … One of the things that separated him was that he took it personally out there when the receivers were going against the secondary of the other team."
I get the feeling the players love this guy. Sure beats Henning sitting up in the booth playing parcheesi picking Fullback swing passes, 3 yard curl routes, and 3rd and 8 wildcat plays out of a hat.
