With all due respect, all of the people who are saying that we are DEFINITELY going to be better simply because Henning is gone are dead wrong. While I agree that Henning was dog ****, we could get worse for more than one reason.
I'm assuming that Henne is going to play better but he might not, the o-line (particularly on the right side) is in shambles right now, we are relying on a guy to be our feature back that has never looked anything like a feature back at this level, our 2nd rd RB has shown absolutely nothing thus far, and while I hope Gates adds a deep threat, it's really hard to rely on a 4th round rookie to make a big impact. Also, we still have no threat down the seam at TE.
Like I said, we could get better on O, I hope we get better, but until they actually prove it on the field I have very little faith. Especially because of the lack of a running game.

Thomas over Long? Not me. Mack is a nice player but I'd stick with Pouncey now. Last year yes to Mack. Who is Stausenbach? I even went to NFL.com to find out who that is and he's not on their roster. Vickers, okay he is a better FB but are we even going to have a real one this year. But you got me he was better than Polite last year. McCoy, are you thinking upside because his numbers were average last year. Watson is old and Fasano had more tds, better ypc but caught less passes as the 3rd maybe 4th option on our team last year. Nope
We could be worse...we could be better. I like the chances of being better. I mean we were within two points of being the second worst scoring team in the league last season. No longer are we dealing with conservative play calling on offense.
With Long coming back soon, if we could get ANY little improvement from the right side of the line (including letting Colombo nowhere NEAR this line), the running game will improve. I hear all this talk about Bush being the work horse. I don't buy it. I think there is going to be more of an even split with him and Thomas.
We've finally got some speed on this offense. Bush and Gates will immediately command attention from defenses and open up the game for Marshall and the other receivers to take advantage. The million dollar question, of course, will be "Has Henne improved...will he show some consistency?". That is yet to be determined.
If this offense gets its act together, there's no reason why we SHOULDN'T improve offensively. I know there's a lot of IF factors there, so cautious optimism or skepticism reigns, understandably. It's up to the offense line and Henne to improve even a bit, because their play will determine how "exciting" this offense can be. Let's also pray/hope for no significant injuries!

My bad Eric Steinbech. Yes I have always said Thomas is a better all around LT then Long, he doesn't get beat by the speed rush and he is more athletic. Long is just more popular and benefits from these morons selecting him one over all. Watson is way better then Fassano don't get Hung up on age because let's face it with JT, LJ, and Columbo our FO isn't! Watson has more speed, athletic ability, better in space, and still as good of blocker. McCoy not only has more potential, but played better then Henne, as a rookie he had some pretty good games one against New England no less. Sorry but Mack is a proven Center, Pouncey is a guard playing center who struggles snapping the football. Let's see how he plays in real games against the likes of Wilfork, Haynesworth etc before we even begin to say he is better then a guy that is a proven starter.

When it comes down to it the Head Coach is Tony Sparano. And Sparano is Sparano.
He just told us that after 3 seasons as a HC in the NFL it hit him that the Dolphins should have a offense that made it possible to attempt to score more points.
So we will see.

Steinbach, ah yeah good player. I will still take Long over Thomas. better run blocker and has trouble with one guy a year so does Thomas. Watson I totally disagree. I don't care if he's more athletic he has always underperfromed. Even looking at last year Fasano had a better Ypc than Watson. Mack's very good I gave you that but I feel Poiuncey has even more upside. McCoy had a nice game vs bengals and had a nice game vs the pats where he only had to throw 19 times because they wre running over them. 2-6 record with pretty dismal numbers. Sorry I've seen Henne have better games against the Jets D which is better than either of those teams.

thomas would start regardless if at left or right tackle, mack is a pro bowl center so yea he would start over pouncey,

Fassano is average and his best season came when Dave Martin was drawing all the heat. Like Dlockz said Mack is a probowler and a true center I am failing to.see how Pouncey has more upside.
