For the Dolphin Dads and their kids out there....

I just spoke about this this morning. I wish my dad was a musician, that way he would have put a guitar in my hand when I was young instead of footballs and baseballs, cultivating my love of sports. Even though he's a Pats fan he instilled my love of football. So yeah, it's his fault. LOL.

Stop the child abuse...loving the Dolphins will only hurt them in the end.

For me it was just the opposite. My dad is from Philadelphia, so I root for the Phillies, Flyers and Sixers, BUT I would not have anything to do with the Eagles as a kid. I saw the Dolphin logo and colors, and that became my team.....40+ years later they are still my team, and by far my favorite team. I don't get too worked up if my Philly teams win or lose, but yesterday I almost got into a fight with my family at the dinner table over some rude comments about the Phins losing to the Panthers.

My mom, who invited me to dinner, said, "Why do you always get so mad when the Dolphins lose? It's just a game. Maybe you should root for another team?" I almost got up to go home after this comment, but my mom's cooking is sooooo good. Then my nephew, who is a big Bronco's fan was talking smack about how great his Broncos are. He got very quiet after his Broncos lost in OT. GOOD TIMES!!!

When your from New Jersey andthe only teams to choose are the Giants and Jets you would do the obvious thing and become a Dolphins fan year in and year out they let me down but at the end of the day I know to this day there is no other team in the NFL I would rather be a fan of the MiamDolphins.

I let my son pick his own team so he couldn't blame me later if the Dolphins stunk and he picked them because of me. I told him he could root for anyone he wanted, except the Jets, Bills or Patriots. If he chose any of those teams, I told him I would never spend a single penny on jerseys, mugs, whatever, of those teams. So he rolled with it and became a Texans fan(thanks to a massive man-crush he had on Andre Johnson)
But then the Jags beat the Texans yesterday and he's about ready to jump ship. At age 11.
He knows nothing about pain.

Yeh..I never even tried to convince my kids to even like football. But..its whats on. And they hear me yelling and screaming and its been all down hill since then.
