Mississippi State's emergence as a good football team seems to be linked to their talented young QB. He appears to be strong and athletic and still developing his skills. I'm interested in the appraisal. How good is he?
I can see him becoming a bit of a college football star but does he have the potential to make it in the NFL?

As of now I'd have him in the 4th round. I haven't re watched any of his film, just off of what I've seen live. He has another year of eligibility and it would behoove of him to exercise his last year

He seems to throw flatfooted and forces the ball at times.

The incoming QB's leave a lot to be desired…better develop RT.

I like Winston's game and leadership, but until this alleged assault cloud goes away, I would not touch him. Marriota is a runner and will get hurt. Hundley is just bad under pressure. Connor Cook? Maybe, but he should go back for another year. There is just not much in the college ranks.

Prescott reminds me of Tebow, is that good or bad? I'll reiterate that I'm on the Petty bandwagon. Watching his last couple games his accuracy is better than the stats say. His WR let balls through their hands several times a game. Petty could have had another 100 yards and 2 more TDs if guys don't drop long near perfect passes.

Great, great, great college football player. Prescott has meant more to that program than any player I can remember since Keffer McGee, who tragically drowned back in the mid 90's.

He has another year of eligibility and would be wise to use it. He has a lot of developing to do as a passer. I'll leave it at that. A kid like this is above nitpicking as a next level signal caller in my opinion. What he's doing for Miss. St. right now is all that matters. He's not a good NFL quarterback prospect at the moment. But he might have a Heisman Trophy and a shot at a national title in about 3 months.
