Although not probable, would Dallas do this:
sign and trade Barber to the Jets for the Jets 1st and 3rd pick.
Then trade the Jets picks plus one of their 1st round picks to Miami for the pick to get McFadden.
With the #6 pick pick the Dolphins would get either C. Long or S. Ellis .
Then they would get another 1st and 3rd round pick.

Doubtful a division rival would help us in any way.

I'd rather see:
Miami:9th/Chad Johnson (from Cincy) 2nd rounder/Carpenter (from Dallas)
Dallas:1st (from Miami)
Cincy: 22nd & 28th picks (from Dallas)

We just got a good RB last offseason, Barber is younger and better at this point but do you really think we'd give up a 1st and 3rd rounder for Marion Barber?

Not a chance that the Jets spend that much on Barber.

Barber's better than any back the Jets could even imagine right now. But I don't see it happening.

did you see my thread on a trade scenario just like that ? the values and everything are included...

Just my own opinion but......NO!...
Yeah, when I saw the original post I thought no way. Besides, there's a legitimate chance that McFadden could fall to your spot. Stewart or Mendenhall would also be possibilities if you're looking to draft a RB 1st day.

With McFadden being the guy everyone is talking about, Jonathon Stewart is getting overlooked.

no way Chris Long drops to us if we were at #6. He's basically guaranteed to go top 3 or 4 (RunDMC, Dorsey, Long, and Matt Ryan)

So wha? he's better than Ronnie Brown too and better than most backs in the league but we have a quality back that we just acquired and NO RB is worth a 1st and 3rd rd pick. RBs are not difficult to find.

I could see us drafting McFadden if he falls, although we have a great RB situation we just need to fix the OL, but no way would any sane team trade a 1st and 3rd for Marion Barber.
