Dallas set to aggressively pursue Soliai?

Funny how that works, we take their garbage, and they take our good players.

Anyways, Soliai was decent but he wasn't special. I would gladly give up Soliai and Langford for Mario.

Starks is still very good and we have Odrick still.

Do you make up your facts as you go along?

STARKS SUCKED MAJOR LEAGUE MOOSEC**K as a NT. Who do you think you're kidding? So, tell us, seeing as how MIAMI will be playing diverse "D" and a base "hybrid 3-4", who's the NT? DONALD DUCK?

dallas needs to dump their money in that awful aged overrated across the board cb group...absolutely horrid...and start with cutting terrence newmans corpse...as for the jets my understanding is resigning pouha is a priority for them this offseason...but they also have a high end talent like kendrick ellis in house that they used a 3rd rounder on last year...

This scares me a little cause then Ireland might just sign Newman.

Au contraire about Starks sucking as an NT. He is probably better than half the league, even in a 3-4.

But put him next to another good DT in the 4-3? He can be a top DT in that system. He is a great overall player, probably our most valuable on the D-line overall in terms of production and versatility.

quack !!! quack !!! lmao:chuckle:

Everyone here somehow forgets that Randy Starks already was a 4-3 DT next to a *then* dominant Albert Haynesworth and he was mediocre at best, which is why Miami got him in the first place.

We need Starks at 3-4 DE. Period. Im rolling at the Donald Duck comment because it's oh too true brother!

The Dolphins have too many holes to fill in other areas to dump too much money on Soliai.

Agreed, but so do the Cowboys.

I figure if Soliai is going to take a smaller contract anywhere, it would be to stay in Miami. If he jumps ship, it'll be for a huge pay day. Unfortunately for him, the teams that need NT help seem to be in bad shape as far as cap space or need. If Pittsburgh wasn't so tight against the cap, I'd have him pegged for there...

Yep, I do agree that it's a tough year for Soliai to become an FA...I also agree that Miami would be considered in his price.

Miami took him kind've high to begin with, considering how raw he was coming out of Utah, and they have stuck by him.

He has actually been a favorite of mine since we drafted him. Even adopted him in here at one point.... I have also pointed out, repeatedly, very few top-notch true NT's become that good overnight..actually, aside from maybe GIlbert Brown (Who wasn't a true 3-4 NT) all the good ones have taken from 3-6 years to fully develop. It just isn't a technique that is taught anywhere in the Country prior to the Pro's.

I am hopeful he decides to remain in Miami. I honestly think he frees other guys up. I also think that a top-notch deep Defensive line is one of the key's to stopping a team such as NE, GB or NO. If you can't stop the run with 4 guys, AND get to the QB on a regular basis, you are playing directly into their hands, however, if you can do those things with just 4 guys, they are at a serious disadvantage as you then have 7 defenders on 4-5 receivers TOPS. I think Soliai is a very valuable part of the defensive line regardless of what technique we are playing.

whats new...you haven't seen anyone paying legit money for solia for 2 years now...

legit money is one thing overpaying is another. I think Solai will get a good contract somewhere just not maybe what his agent demands. I dont see him getting nine million A year i see prob seven
