Dallas Thomas is horrible

We'll remember Josh Sumuda? He got a long look when Jerry got hurt last year, sucked and got cut. Let's see how this plays out. Maybe Thomas just proved he can't start at RG in the NFL. Camp reports should be interesting next week.

We're in real good cap shape. Honestly? See what the 49ers want for Alex Boone. If he's stubborn with that holdout and they're going to be stubborn back, see if they'll toss him our way for a 5th or 6th. Dallas Thomas is awful.

I really don't want to be that guy who advocates desperation trades or tying up all the cap on the OL, but damn.

We really need it. Can't have Thomas against the players well be facing. God awful

I'm not kidding..... If I was coaching this team he would get the "This is your last chance" speech. If he doesn't dominate next week against Dallas..... I would cut him. He was the worst player on the field yesterday.

Favorable reports about Dallas Thomas as one of the biggest improvers but he was killed tonight. The big question is whether you stick with him or pass it over to Billy Turner or one of the more experienced guys or buy the toughest, most experienced veteran available. I hope I'm wrong, but Dallas doesn't look physically strong enough.

I guess what was said about Thomas cutting fat and adding muscle this offseason didn't mean a thing since he still was eaten alive. I think he has the finesse temperament of Jonathan Martin. He just isn't tough enough to handle the NFL.

We have seen some straight up garbage being passed off as a lineman in the last few years, but Thomas is king dumpster fire. Slowest off the snap I have ever seen!

Gerald McCoy is the real deal Holyfield. He'll make anybody look bad.

As others have mentioned, it's not that he got beat by Gerald McCoy.

It's that he got ****ing whipped. Humiliated. Destroyed. Wasn't even competitive. It was just about every play, too. And AFTER McCoy came out, he still looked bad. And had at least one penalty on him.

He absolutely does not look like a starting NFL guard, and I don't care if it's preseason or not. He's bad.

I'd give him one more game then if he struggles start billy

Problem is guys, I'm not sure Turner is going to be any better at this point. Time for Hickey to get on the phones and get us someone...FA or trade...get it going!

I have a "low-mileage #3 ipck" to trade...

Dallas was fine for the first 5 snaps. Then McCoy switched on the Wallace deep throw. He destroyed Dallas on 5 of 15 plays in the 1st quarter with a sack, penalty which would have been a sack, quick relase which would have been a sack, and the fumble. Not defending horrible play but, no idea why we were not doubling McCoy.

I never thought he was starter material in the first place. IMO he's a work in progress and he was thrown to the wolves lat year. I agree he looked horrible.

I don't care that Dallas Thomas sucks. That is what it is. What bothers me is the coaching staff starting players who don't deserve to be starting. We've seen that too damn much on the oline. Turner and Smith may not be very good, but I cannot believe they're Dallas Thomas bad. Our oline has to be comprised of not only better players, but better choices.
