Today a practice squad player listed as a center played over him. What is wrong with this guy? He must really suck if they chose to go with a practice squad player over him. Why even keep Thomas if they don't even feel comfortable about putting him into the game

I was wonder the same thing. With the line sucking as bad, I would think a rookie would have a chance to start.

He is this years Michael Egnew. Hopefully he works out to be a good player in the long run, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

he needs strength and some bullying by jim turner.

Shoulder is worse than they thought as his talent. Going to need a ton of strength building in the workout program and hopefully can come back next season and compete. I actually like Sam during the Pre season. He actually graded out well in the first two games. He fits the offense better the Incog and Jerry. Its extremely weird to actually see a guard that can pull.

Why is it so difficult for a to find a good olinemen in the middle rounds of the draft? We try and try, but we're constantly drafting mediocre linemen. I like Jerry, but I'm not sold that he's the long term answer at right guard. Other teams start mid round linemen and they start for years. Is it bad luck or what?

Can we please draft a non-injured player that is already strong? I assume there are a few of these types playing Division I football.

There are so many issues going on with the team right now, and you are creating a new thread complaining about Dallas Thomas's playing time???

Have you ever seen the guy do an interview? He sounds as dumb as a box of rocks. It's no wonder he can't get on the field. I think it's called lack of mental aptitude.

it's called "being a rookie" and "not being ready to contribute." not all rookies show right away, especially on the O-line. Why keep him? It is called "potential." bokamper was interviewing either clabo or garner after the game, and he asked "did you all get together before the game and say nobody get hurt, because we have nobody left"? and the O-lineman said something to the effect of "of course not, we have dallas, who has a lot of talent, who could come in if someone went down."

please try to do what all rational people do, and judge draft picks after a couple of seasons in the league. don't go cutting talented players 11 games in.

I liked Dallas Thomas at Tennessee. I hope he can emerge and that it is due to the shoulder and not lack of talent. Guess we'll find out sooner or later. Either way this team needs to find a lot of quality offensive lineman during the offseason and in the draft.

I understand what you are saying, but if his talent was so impressive, a practice squad player wouldn't have been promoted on short notice to start over him. Every potential has its learning curve, but its not as if the main task of an offensive lineman on every play isn't to physically move or block the player in front of him. This is something you either can or can't do.

Market inefficiency. It's the Dolphins version of Moneyball.
