Well it might be if he loses his biggest clients. But that seems like a very hard suspension to enforce. Some agents aren't the most above-board people. He probably does most of the same things just a bit more discretely. It may mean that negotiations still take place, but no contract is signed during that time. But the next 2 months after the suspension I would be surprised if he didn't show a big bump in contracts. Just a hunch.
Remember, teams can't talk with coaches except during certain windows, yet teams tap up coaches all the time … ditto for FA's. In fact, any team not negotiating before the period opens is going to have a very tough time signing any marquee free agents. The Dolphins had to give away draft picks for tapping up Don Shula. The Patriots tapped up Bill Belichick. Heck, our own CB Sean Smith posted on social media that he was tapped up right before signing to go to Arizona as a FA … because he's a moron. The reality is that this suspension is more likely a slap on the wrist making it tougher for him to do his job for a short while. But, given the state of NFL agents and negotiations today, I'm guessing it will not be a career ender. The variable will be if he loses big clients during that window.
