Damian Williams WR from USC should be our 1st pick if we go offense

I really like Dez but I also think williams is more NFL ready. Bryant drops alot of balls and loses concentration. He is another braylon Edwards. Williams is a much better route runner and can contribute immediately. I think he is worth a 1st round pick. I would love to see us land a big time wr either through the draft ,FA, or trade. Boldin or Marshall would be the best move we could make but I will settle for williams. A good #1 is what our O has been missing for years.
 
Umm, no. He shouldn't be our 1st pick. This guy's probably the 4th or 5th best WR in a horrible WR class. And you want to spend a 12th overall pick on a 2nd rounder? :bobdole: You must love mediocrity then.

As an honorary USC Trojan fan, even I can't defend this pick in the SECOND ROUND much less our first round. These kids at USC are always the best athletes in the conference when they get to USC and many of them have always been the best athlete on the field at their high school and pee wee league teams. They've never had to claw, scrap, or fight for a position. Their work ethic is often times questionable because of this. They've never really had to work for anything on the field because they've just been better than everyone. The NFL is a completely different beast. Mike Williams was ten times the wide receiver this kid is and was a solid bust in the NFL. I'm not saying that Damian Williams can't play or won't be productive, but there's NO sense in reaching for a kid like this in the first round. That's imply not smart and draft suicide.
 
There is no way we're drafting a WR in the first round... none.

A NT or ILB much like everyone is predicting. It wouldn't surprise me if we go defense in the 2nd, either.

Andre Roberts or Howard in the 3rd seems like a reasonable guess.. Dexter McCluster isn't really a WR, but he would work well in the wildcat.
 
HECK NO!!!! STAY AWAY FROM USC's OFFENSIVE PLAYERS...PERIOD
 
God, when is the last time a USC WR did anything? Steve Smith, and technically he is more of a slot guy. Keyshawn Johnson? Underachiever for #1 overall. There have been some greats back in the day, but the last 20 year they have been blah. They are right up there with the Michigan WR's and the Florida WR's as the most likely to bust in the NFL.

Have you not just watched the SB?

Didn't you see 2 average D's with great O's playing for the Lombardi Trophy?

We need freaking WR's beucase what we have right now is complete trash, now I dont like williams but we should go for Dez if he is there, and even trade for Boldin while we are at it.
 
If he is there in the second round i would consider him but if i had a Chose between Him and Dez Bryant in the first round that wouldnt even be close i would take Dez 100% of the time

Dont over do it. Our Wrs are good we just dont have a number 1.
 
I think this guy is a great WR, i watched his all star workout, he kept up with Dez and even beat him on one of the work outs, but that doesn't mean everything. he's small, like 6'1 185 lbs. Though he did have 3 really good years in college, vs Dez bryants 1 year of 1800 yds 19 TDs, a 1000yd college year with like 5-9 TD's isnt the craziest thing in the world.


IF he falls to us in a later round, YES maybe take him, hes definitely a good number TWO WR. but he is by no means a #1. Dez is, probably, and thats not guarenteed.

The truth is Dez and Rolando will probably both be off that board by the time it gets to us, and we most likely will not be trading up, and that's okay. We wont go chasing any neon names in FA, or overpaying anyone i dont think this year. but i am sure we will address some positions in FA, whether it be DT, LB, or WR.

I think the best pick for us in the 1st round would be to grab Jerry Hughes who has amazing stats, better then rolando's if i remember right. Hes also got great size to him, not overly too big but by no means too small to play his position, he could also probably be transitioned into an ILB if needed or be great behind Taylor.

I understand that we have the QB, we have the LT, and now we just need the #1 WR for him to go to, but unless Dez drops to us, i dont think that there is a true #1 ready to take on that load besides him in this draft. Bess and Hartline are great #2's 3's we need a #1.

If possible we will try to get a WR in FA, i think this draft will mostly be about our Defense. I hope we get Jerry Hughes with the first pick, or maybe Gerald McCoy if hes there.
I have heard talk that 14 DT's will go in the first round. thats intense. i'm sure our first pick will definitely be a LB or a DT

Also gotta add that although i liked him, from watching that work out i realllly like that white guy from texas the one who wears no gloves or anything, he looks like a great slot WR, but once again this isnt what we need. sorry i cant remember his name, if anyone remembers please post it, i know hes colt mccoys best friend and favorite target
