I don't get it.

Tannehill calls the WR Damian cause hes the vet and the RB D2. D2 on its own is OK but R2D2 is cool as hell.

As soon as Damien Williams gets the handoff, he's met with 2 defenders in the backfield. Looks like a dead play.

But he manages to spin free, and then run over 3 more defenders to get the 2 point conversion.

He was also met in the backfield on the left side at another point in the game and made it into a 2 yard gain as well (against the starters). I really like his tough inside running ability. Exactly what this team needed at RB.

It is. I thought about R2D2 when I heard it as well. If we still had Ricky and Ronnie we could call our whole backfield R2D2.

I wonder if in a couple of years we may look back and laugh at Tannehill calling the rookie a little nickname. D2 may someday be calling Tannehill "T2" or "Twho?".

His kickoff return was probly even more impressive. He broke a tackle and was dead to rights, then breaks another, hitting the outside for 20 more yards.

Two weeks ago I wasn't thinking much of these guys actually making the team, but the kid absolutely should not only make the team, but have a role on this team. I think this could get Thigpen gone. It just depends on if they want Thiggy as a KR or not.

He's built - 221 lbs - when I met him a few weeks ago, without seeing his number, I thought he must be a Safety.
What was the knock on him at Oklahoma? He was a decent contributor on a good team. How did he remain undrafted?

I thought Gillislee was his biggest competition for a roster spot but with Gilly going to IR I think R2D2 is pretty much a lock at this point.

Agree...and I think they keep Thomas and send Darkwa to the PS. That's not what I want, I just expect it.
