http://espn.go.com/blog/miami-dolph...t-ive-ever-gone-against?ex_cid=espnapi_publicESPN analyst Damien Woody did not make many friends among Miami Dolphins fans earlier this week. Woody, who is not afraid to speak his mind, called the Dolphins a mentally soft team, which sparked some interesting debate on Twitter.
However, Woody also provided very high praise for one of Miami’s Pro Bowl players on Wednesday. During a segment on ESPN's "NFL Live" where Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck put together the perfect pass-rusher, Miami's Cameron Wake got the nod in the “strength” category, and Woody agreed.
“My time with the Jets, going up against that guy twice a year, that guy made me earn every check,” Woody said of Wake. “He’s probably the toughest pass-rusher that I've ever gone against. He’s strong as an ox, he can bend and do it all. I give a lot of kudos to Cameron Wake.”
Wake is a four-time Pro Bowler with 63 career sacks in six seasons. He recorded 11.5 sacks in 2014, despite constant double teams. Wake’s numbers could increase this year with the Dolphins’ addition of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh in the middle of the defense.
