The thing is, it doesn't matter if he's healthy or not, he won't be very productive when he's 36, and even less when he's 37. I appreciate that you want him to have a heallthy retirement (and I do too), but we're need to get all we can from him now, while he's still capable.You people and the money.
His contract doesn't matter, his health does. If you want to see him productive past this year. You don't over use him. And with the defense unable to stop anything this year, I rather see him used sparingly and saved for the out years. Squeezing maybe 2 years out of his body. I guess you believe this team is playoff capable with a stout defense....
