Dan Hennings comment was right when he said Chad Henne was as good
as Matt Ryan when giving his chance, though Henne doesn't have the
weapons Ryan has in Atlanta.

I concur..But we have a better running game which could open up the passing game.

Chad Henne has the best Qb rating in his first 2 starts combined than any QB in their first 2 starts combined since the 1970 NFL merger.

Showed it on NFLN yesterday.

No QB had a better first 2 starts than Chad Henne in modern NFL history (last 40 years).

Good to know our OC has confidence in our QB. Don't get all hyped up. WhiteShoeWillie is right, it has ONLY been 2 games. Remember when we all thought AJ Feeley was the 'answer'? Just keep your cool and if we're 11-5 or any close deviation of that, THEN we can get excited!

Yes it is a long season ,it is only 2 games and we have a great running game. Still when Dan Hennning sang those praises about Chad Henne I really thought he was going out on a long tree limb that was going to break on him. Well as some fans have pointed out that we have gone through a curse of approx 13 starting QBs since Dan Marino retired and we are due a good one. Well I am very happy that Henning was right anyway!

WOW That's an amazing stat

If I'd been told he would have those numbers after two games I would've never believed it. I hope this is a sign of great thing to come and not just a mirage.

No doubt he's had a great start - he looked fantastic against the Jets. I wish Pennington didn't get injured.

Nice avatar Willie, thats gotta sting after you see your posts.

2 Games agreed, but I don't know if Feeley ever had a good game and if he did it was never 2 in a row. We all thought he was our savior BEFORE he took the field.

I am going to go a head and get excited. Why not? I think we finnaly got our Quarterback. We have good reason to be excited. It's not like all those people who fell in Love with Beck before he ever played a game. They had their John Beck sigs before training camp started. The same season he was drafted. No this is different. We have good reason to be excited. To be that good from the start. To have that kind of composure in such a big game in the fourth quarter needing a score. We have good reason to be excited.

It's not just the stats, it's breaking down his decision making, his pocket presence/composure and (most importantly) the types of throws he made.
The best throw by far was the over the shoulder catch by Camarillo. Henne had a free blitzer in his face and he calmly threw a nice touch pass to the sideline that only Camarillo could catch.
The roll out and laser to Camarillo was thrown just beyond the 1st down marker as well as low and outside away from the coverage.
Many rocket armed young QB's don't know when or how to adjust their throws.
In this game, Henne showed it all.
Its a great start. Hopefully he will build on this.

the guy has been around great QB'S all his life with the tuna, he should know what he sees
