I have a Dan LeBatard story.

Years ago I used to read the Herald online.One day I read an article he wrote and it was the worst piece of negative tripe I had ever seen.It came off more like a message board post than something in a major newspaper.

So for the only time I ever I actually sent him an e-mail containing my thoughts on the quality of his work.

His reply was badly written, poorly spelled and filled with punctuation mistakes!

I was amazed by the 4th grade level of his e-mail and replied to tell him so.His reply to that was more of the same.I realized I was dealing with an idiot and left him alone after that, I actually felt kind of bad for picking on him.


Every time I see him filling in on PTI I think of those e-mails.

I actually LOVE Dan LeBatard... maybe i am the only one. I like his sarcasm and the fact that when he is wrong he will admit it. He's not about all the pleasantries and non-sense. When he is wrong he even lets people call in and make jokes on him. Shoot he even talks crap about himself!! I listen to his show every afternoon and it is a good darn show.

Lebatard is one of the biggest jackasses in media.

His shtick has become embracing the fact that so many can't stand him.

I'll give him one thing, he has figured out the secret to making it big in media and that is to play to the masses. The masses don't like real journalism and they don't like really good sports talk, they like drama and controversy.

Lebatard is definitely good at that, creating drama and spouting off controversial comments to stir up the average idiot listening to the radio.

I'll give him props for being a great Jerry Springer but not for being a good sports show host.
