Dan Marino doesn't think Sparano will be fired

Wait to see if the team turns in a clunker.

I doubt he'll be fired after this week even if we lose. If he were to get fired, it would be this week, but I don't see it happening.

Yeah, I am starting to lean that way also. I was giving it a 55-60% chance that he would be fired tomorrow if they lost to the Chargers. The more I think about it and the "buzz" around the front office, I don't know if a move will be made this week.

The coaching isn't really propelling the team to win, but it isn't the reason we are losing. If the players executed we wouldn't be in this spot right now.

Suppose the question is "when" he would be fired. I can see Marino's(and others) point of view that he wont be fired after this game.

But i dont think theres a chance in hell he makes it past the first 2 weeks of the offseason.

The topic was in regards to his status going into the bye week.

But you could really argue that if "the players executed," the team would finish 16-0.

Unfortunately there are countless other variables going on with football teams and in football games than one team's execution.

The question is, is the coach good enough to manage all those other variables so the players can execute?

Keep Tony, he is done and the players know it as well as thr fans. Suck for Luck.

If they converted 40% of their redzone trips we would be at least 1-2 or 2-1

He won't get canned today unless we get killed! Then maybe!

thats why, if you think about it long enough with conviction, you would realize that the players start to realize they need to play better to save their long term careers.

So you see, it does the team no good to get an interim coach to "change the attitude". If you cant change the attitude on your own, then your simply placing blame on someone else when you know deep down inside you did not prepare 100 percent in the offseason and shortchanged yourself.

so yes, players are being looked at too. thats prob why marshall had an offensive dinner at his house and dansby says we are fighting for sparanos job, but what he really is saying is everyone is fighting for their jobs.

Sparano has proved he can't coach for ****, this is what to expect when you bring in the OC of a team that sucked worse than the Phins. Ross is a *******, Ireland is an incompetent moron. Time to clean house Ross, it pisses me off how Ross cares more about star celebrity owners, instead of star coaches. Get the house in order and prepare for Cowher or Gruden....give either one of em control of the team. Look at what Buffalo is doing, you're telling me it's not coaching? GTFO. The play calling sucks also, you throw a fade route against the Pats on a 4th n 1 foot. I don't know if the coaches know this, but Henne can't throw the fade for sh*t.

0-6 Against Houston, losing to the Bills, Browns, n Lions at home last year. 1-11 in their last 12 home games. Losing to the Browns this year. CLEAN THE MOTHER F**KING HOUSE. It shoulda been done at the end of last season.

I think it depends on how bad we lose (if we lose). Most coaches that are fired during the season aren't usually fired this early. The ones that are either are either completely hated by the locker room (Scott Linehan) or by the owner (Lane Kiffen). I feel it's more likely that they will let Sparano see this out until atleast December.

Of course, if the wheels fall off and the Chargers just destroy us my opinion could change.
