Dan Marino: Hall of Fame Induction, recap

I was there dude. It was a sea of Marino jerseys. People working there said they had never seen anything like it.

Can't believe it's been 10 years since he last took the field. Damn I feel old.

Marino's Hall Of Fame induction was a great day. I was so happy for that guy. He earned every bit of it.

The day he retired was a different story. Lame as it is I had tears in my eyes. I knew it was time but I took that whole thing really hard.

Marino gone with no ring. It's still tough to take.

i watched his HOF induction and his son gave a great speech i thought...yeah it is tough to take...that's the one thing i wish and will always wish Marino would've gotten,at least once,a SB Ring...

I was there as well and I can say without hesitation that it was the greatest moment I have ever had when it comes to sport. To me Marino was a hero and the reason I started to like Miami Dolphins. There is NO ONE who campes with Marino. I am also a die-hard Baltimore Orioles fan and love Cal Ripken Jr. but Danny Marino makes Cal look like Cleo Lemon. Dan Marino WOULD be the greatest ever with just one ring.. Either way my basement is a shrine to you #13. Thank You Dan

Yeah. :(

Remember all the hype on the internet with that photoshop of Marino in a Bucs uniform? And a Vikings uniform. :(

I REALLY wanted him to go to the Vikings but they had just lost their 2 best offensive lineman, allowed 43 sacks the year before, and played like 12 of 16 games on turf...not a good situation for Dan that late in his career. Why do I feel the need to cry all of the sudden? :(

I cannot tell a lie, I cried during the final quarter of that Jacksonville blowout game when Huard finished things out. :boohoo:

It was a hard realization dreams don't always come true no matter how deserving. Marino was not going to get his ring, it broke my heart and just left a pit in my stomach like no other that day. I was 16 then, wow, it was such a long time ago.

Nonetheless, Marino will always be my favorite of all time, ring or no ring.

That got me all teary-eyed too. Dan was such a competitor and I'll never forget the opening day game against the Patriots in 1994. He might as well have had a giant "S" on his chest that day. I think this and Jim Kelly's induction are my two favorites in the history of Canton.

I was there with my Dad at that game. Is still the best game I've ever seen in my life.

"Dan the Man" was on the cover of Sports Illustrated the next week lol.
