Just another idiot trying to dump more dirt on Marino's NFL grave. Some people really take offense to a player being lauded as "great" if his team never won the big game.

That viewpoint dosen't hold any logic to me.
As a fan, I get sick of seeing the comments so I just ignore them.

Anyone can bend stats and twist data to make any point. To say Marino had a #1 def and top running game in his rookie year. For gods sake, he was the second string QB until Woodley finally faded against the Raiders.

move on... It is sad Marinos years never produced a ring, but to put the blame solely on Marino is bull.
 
I just read...well, tried to read that article until it got into the "quality" of some of the Dolphins defenses Marino played with...

This was OBVIOUSLY written by someone who did'nt actually watch the Dolphins during the Marino years.

This reporter got exactly what he probably wanted. To get Phin fans all riled up. Who gives a rats a$$ about what this guy thinks. I just find it funny at how many of you do.

Marino was the greatest thing this team has ever had why would i read any negativity against him? It's probally another anti Marino taking his turn on bashing him NOT INTERESTED thanks just the same.
 
I love how he talks about the Dever game in 98. He says that year the Phins had the #1 scoring defense and it was marinos fault they lost that game. But he doesn't mention how that great #1 defense gave up 1000 yards rushing that game!!!
 
You have to be a Dolphin fan and an avid follower of the Dolphins to know anything about Dan Marinos career and what he faced as a Dolphin. For a long time through the years it was like the running back position was not a necessity. They can say what they want about Marino's supporting cast and speculate how good they were, but the fact is Marino made players look good and players loved to play with him. Just ask Mark Duper and Mark Clayton.
