I know this is way off topic but i have been thinking about this latley. As most of you may know Marino was very close to joining the Vikings at the end of his carrer. If Marino played a season for them went on to win a Superbowl, do you think Dolphin fans would still love him as much as we do?

thanks

i think that we would all still have loved him regardless......HARD NIPPLES!!! HARD NIPPLES!!!!!!!

yeah i would have loved him regardless...it would have been awesome to see him get a ring...even if it was with the Vikings. Marino is...was...and will always be a class act and my favorite Dolphin ever. He was a competitor he wanted to win and he had fire in his eyes man...I don't think any current Dolphin has the intensity or that will to win...I don't think JT or ZT have the fire to win...they just don't have it...and Marino did...for me Dan Marino is the Miami Dolphins...he's the reason I became a FinFan. Don't get me wrong...I still follow and love the Dolphins but it just isn't the same without #13 slinging the ball...it just isn't.

Go Fins!!!

I wouldn't have been suprised if he did...they already had the skeleton known as Randal Cunningham under center over there

well said my friend...I definitely agree :drinkers:

I for one would have been a Vikings fan for a year. No player is bigger than the team but the people in charge of this organization did Marino wrong. We gained nothing by not bringing Dan back, he had just took a paycut to help the organization then we reward him by saying don't bother coming back. It would have been differant if we had a young or better QB that we were going to play and Marino would not be our best option. We had no better option than Marino but we still cast him off. marino had a rough injury plagued year the season before but still was player of the week twice before he was injured. He came back too soon against Dallas and it showed, the coaching staff should have dictated when Marino came back or if they did they misevaluated. The constant blame that Johnson placed on Marino is just another reason I think he is a despicable person who helped to set this franchise back and on course for where we are now. Marino has shown a lot of class toward the organization especially considering his treatment so I would have just been happy for him. Marino was the greatest QB ever and the only reason that fact is ever question is because he did not gain a team accomplishment of a Super Bowl. There are many mediocre Qb's that have won Superbowls so its crazy that Marino's only chink in his armor always degrades his legacy to the sport.

this is sad...but true...and after reading this...yeah I'm sad.

Go Fins!!!

i would love him even more!!

but i knew, as dan did, that his leggs were gone and he
was 3-4 years past retirement.

it was sickening watching him go out the way he did.

AND DAMN DON SHULA TO HELL for screwing up the career
of the greatest qb to EVER play this game. he should have
won 4-6 bowls.
