Dan Marino

Honestly here folks,

What has Marino done in the past 10 years to prove he can work in the organization?

It's painfully obvious that the team needs someone who A) knows the game of football, and B) cares about the Miami Dolphins organization to act as a proxy for Steven Ross.

Because Steven Ross: A) doesn't know **** about football, and B) isn't in the building except when he flies in on his helicopter for a 'fact finding mission.'

So yes, Dan Marino is exactly what this organization needs. Not as a GM, but as Team President / Football Czar / Whatever you're going to call it. Jeff Ireland, Joe Philbin, and the rest of these ****ing buffoons need to be held accountable to someone.

Exactly! I don't want Marino picking players, I want him to be the FOOTBALL VOICE of the team. The one guy that everyone answers to on the team, instead of Ross. It is obvious Ross can't handle the role. He needs a proxy, as you mentioned. Marino would be the right guy because he is fiery and will hold people accountable, unlike Ross.

It's pretty screwed up that I think this team is presently lacking a voice who is simply in the building every day, understands the game of football, and cares about the franchise.

I don't care if it's a Dan Marino, a Jason Taylor, or anyone like that. If there's one thing the Dolphins are still great about, it's keeping alumni involved with the team, connected to the team, and part of the family. Get one of these guys that the fans can trust, that you know has a passion for winning, and get him in there to hold feet to the fire.

Heck, I wouldn't even mind JOE ROSE at this point! He seems to be fed up with this crap as well, lol.

Actually, Kim Bokamper might be a good fit considering his success as a South Florida businessman/restauranteer these days...

And that's the point we've come to, that I'd actually be totally on board with a hire like that. We need someone who actually cares about the team who can be in there every day asking questions and demanding accountability.

I don't even know what to say if we go into 2011 with the status quo. For how long have we had reports of friction between Philbin/Aponte and Ireland? What the **** is going on up there in Davie? Didn't we see this same damn scenario play out before just two years ago?

Hire him as the 3rd string QB! and he can tutor Tannehill. Pay him 4 mil a year to play backup. Which is what his salery was when he played and prob way more then he gets as an analyst!!!!

no thanks.

Marino will forever be a part of this franchise, but that would just be more of this team's problem. Living in the past.

Speaking of Joe Rose, you know things are bad when he finally just says '**** it' on the radio and has been bashing Jeff Ireland and everything about him. Just heard that this morning. Wow.
