"monkeys" has historically been used as a racist remark referring to african americans....thats why it's racist.......

howard cossell basically lost his job on MNF because he said "Look at that little monkey run" during a broadcast. But in Cossell's case, he had previously used that phrase for white players, as well as his grandchildren, so I believe him when he said it wasn't a racial slur. But Sileo? Who knows... All I know is he is a talentless ahole

Now, *maybe* that was a racist remark. But the context certainly doesn't imply it: he's calling them great players. I think it was a poorly-chosen word, but honestly - what's the difference between that and "dogs", or "cats"? Like, "let's get those cats in here"? I've heard it numerous times, and no one's ever taken it the wrong way. It's not even a slang insult or anything; the closest Google found was "porch monkey", and that's from an UD entry - and frankly I had never heard of it until today.

People have become overly sensitive, IMO. I don't condone racism in any shape or form, but I think it's quite a stretch to find that as a racist remark.

i've heard "cats" and "dogs" , but where do you live where people refer to other people as monkeys as regular slang? lol
 
I downloaded the WQAM app and stopped listening to Sileo after about 4 day's. If it's not Ireland it's Philbin or someone else, all he does is complain and try to be controversial.
 
I've talked to 4 different people in three days and they've all said Sileo sucks. That was with out me bringing it up, too. I either listen to Lebatard, Big O on 640, or just put on NFL channel on Sirius.
