We've been needing a stopgap veteran NT since Traylor's aging, needs to take a breather at times, and has legal issues. Dan Wilkinson is a solid run-stuffing NT who just got cut by the Lions. Should we pick him up?

The 6-foot-4, 353-pound Wilkinson did a solid job of occupying offensive linemen, freeing up teammates to make tackles, after being more of a pass-rushing threat earlier in his career. He has 455 career tackles and 54 sacks in 185 career games, including 48 straight starts with the Lions.

I really think you guys are discrediting the power of our draft class. Manny Wright will start for us. Vickerson was close to starting before he got hurt. Fred Evans was a beast for a small college. We have Vets in Holiday and Zagonia, and even and even kevin carter is or was a tackle for the titans. I say start Holiday and Wright start and rotate those fresh bodies in .

Except none of them are 3-4 nose tackles. They're more 4-3 DT. Saban's using a hybrid of the two. That's why we had Traylor in the first place. When Saban wants to put up a 3-4 defense on the field, he goes with Traylor or Zgonina if Traylor is unavailable. When he wants a 4-3, then he puts Wright, etc.

 I just saw it on ESPNEWS, and I new someone would post us possibly signing him.
He is big, and at a good price, why not.

Good post - I think we should definitely try to sign him! Traylor is not a good option right now. Even with Traylor, we needed another big DT (that's why we talked with Sam Adams). He would be an ideal fit as a NT for us, imo.
