Danario Alexander WR thoughts?

What are your thoughts and feelings on Danario Alexander WR.
I know he is 6'5 and played behidn Maclin but had 2 ACL injuries and is a veryy good WR from what I hear and might creep up to late 1st early 2nd after all is said and done.

Anyone watch him play or konw much about him?

I only know what I saw in the Texas Bowl against Navy and that wasnt all that impressive. Add to that the knee issues....

I'd pass and look for something else.

He actually beat out Maclin for the starting job early on, from what I understand. The multiple knee injuries scare me, though.

Had a storybook end to a career that saw him overcome three knee surgeries, only to emerge as the best receiver in college football as a senior, after entering the year off the radar on the national scene … Won 1st-Team All-American honors by Sports Illustrated and CBSSportsline after leading the nation with 1,781 receiving yards, on 113 receptions and 14 touchdowns – all three breaking MU single-season records … His monster season also was enough to make him the new MU career record holder for receiving yards, with 2,778 … Closed out his Tiger career with a 6-catch, 137-yard, 1-touchdown performance in the 2009 Texas Bowl against Navy … Wowed the national ESPN audience on the game’s second play, when he took a quick swing pass and weaved his way for a 58-yard touchdown to give Mizzou a 7-0 lead less than :30 seconds into the game … Led Mizzou in receptions (10) and yards (132) in the season-opening win over Illinois ... The 10 catches and 132 yards were both career highs ... Had a team-high seven catches in the game against Bowling Green for 56 yards ... 2008 SEASON
Contributed to Mizzou’s record-setting offense by catching 26 passes for 329 yards and a career-high 5 touchdowns, despite not being fully 100 percent throughout the year, as he was still working through the after-effects of off-season knee surgery … Missed the first two games of the year, and returned to catch at least one pass in every game the rest of the way … Closed the season by grabbing 3 balls for 26 yards and a crucial touchdown grab in MU’s bowl win over Northwestern … His TD grab in the Alamo Bowl was an 11-yarder that came on third down, and it gave Mizzou its first lead of the game, at 17-16 with 7:20 left in the third quarter … Three of his first six receptions on the year were touchdowns ... Saw his first playing time of the season against Nevada on Sept. 13 ... Caught his first touchdown of the season on a 27-yard pass from Chase Daniel against Buffalo ... Had a pair of receptions at Nebraska for 46 yards ... Scored the Tigers’ final touchdown against Nebraska on a beautiful leaping 26-yard catch in the fourth quarter ... Made two catches against Oklahoma State, including a nice catch on a seven-yard TD in the fourth quarter ... Had two receptions against Texas for 18 yards against Texas ... 2007 SEASON
Had a breakout year that saw him emerge as a key playmaker in the Tiger passing attack, but missed four-plus games due to bad luck with injuries … Was second on the team with a career-high nine catches for 82 yards in the season opener against Illinois ... Had MU’s longest reception of the day against the Illini, a 33-yard catch in the fourth quarter to help keep a key drive alive on third-and-11 ... Left the game with an injury to his left wrist after being tackled on that play and missed the next three games ... Returned from a three-week rehab to make three catches for 56 yards, including a 48-yard TD reception, against Nebraska ... That 48-yard grab was a season long and marked the second score of his career ... Made six catches for 54 yards against Oklahoma, including a 34-yard reception ... Was third on the team with four catches and 37 yards against Iowa State ... Made three grabs for 46 yards against Colorado, including a 31-yard reception in the third quarter ... Had one catch (13 yards) against Texas A&M and caught three passes against Kansas State for 12 yards ... Also had one rush for 10 yards against KSU ... Had a big night against Kansas, catching eight passes for 117 yards and one TD ... The 117 yards were a career high ... His touchdown came on an 11-yard pass from Chase Daniel in the first quarter ... Had a 19-yard run against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship, but injured his left knee on the play ... Missed the Cotton Bowl after having surgery on the injured knee.

2006 SEASON
True freshman wideout who earned playing time with an impressive fall camp, and who blossomed late in the season to make big contributions … Ended the season with 15 catches for 251 yards and 1 TD, with 11 of his 15 catches coming in the final 4 games of the year … His per-catch average of 16.7 was second on the team among those with 5 receptions or more … Closed the season with a 74-yard TD catch in the Sun Bowl (his first career TD) against Oregon State, when he got loose on a fly pattern and outraced the Beaver secondary untouched for a 2nd-quarter TD that put MU up, 17-14 … Had a breakout performance at Nebraska in week #10, with 4 catches for a career-best 84 yards … Included in that was a 49-yarder in the 2nd quarter to put MU in scoring position … Followed with a 5-catch outing the next week at Iowa State for 47 yards with a long of 25 in that game … Caught a pass in each of MU’s first 3 games of the year (2 for 21 against Ole Miss was his best in that stretch), then went without a grab until the Nebraska game.

HIGH SCHOOL
Earned honorable mention All-State and 1st-Team All-District honors as a senior wide receiver for Marlin High School in 2005 after catching 49 passes for 850 yards and 9 TDs … Named 2nd-Team Super Cen-Tex in 2005, as well … Was an honorable mention All-District pick as a junior in 2004 … An excellent all-around athlete who was a 1st-Team All-District performer in baseball … Was also the district champion in the long jump (best of 23’10”) and triple jump (best of 45’10”) in 2005 … High school coach – Jerry Malone.

I like him, the injuries scare me, as well as the fact that he's a questionable route runner. Right now i think he's probably a 4th round pick at the best and 6th at the worst. He put up amazing numbers, but i think some will fear he was the product of the pass happy system at Mizzou. He'd have to run VERY well at the combine to assuage the fears about his knee injuries. I like him as a 6th round pick for the Dolphins if he's still on the board. But Al Davis will fall in love with his size and numbers and draft him in round 2 probably.

He garners polarizing views. Some see him as Ashley Lalie who looked great in college but did nothing for the Broncos, some see him as more like Randy Moss but more fragile and therefore risky.
I don't think he will go bellow the second round.

Alexander sucks. He only had a lot of yards because he was the only productive member of the Mizzou offense so they fed him the ball. He's hurt ALL the time.

I go to Mizzou and see him first hand very often and he gets **** from every football fan that I know here. He's soft and injury prone. I'd stay away from that stuff even with his size.

i think i saw 2 torn acls and a broken wrist while he was in school at mizzou...

add that extensive injury history and the fact that i'm not impressed with his game transitioning to the pros and i say...pass

He has everything. Great length, decent enough route runner, decent enough hands, good blocker, outstanding YAC, long strider with great speed, but he's frightened and he plays frightened and he could go undrafted because of it.

Probably won't, but could do. He is scared of getting that knee hurt again and when he's in space he's fine, but with the ball running to contact he's concentrating on protecting the knee.
