Daniel Thomas (hamstring) was held out of practice on Friday.

Thomas' absence is a major concern after his early-season hamstring injury "flared up" in Thursday's practice. At this point, he can't be expected to play against the Chargers. We wouldn't go rushing to the waiver wire to add Steve Slaton just yet; he doesn't even know the offense. If Thomas does sit out, Reggie Bush is a good bet for 15-20 touches with Lex Hilliard handling short-yardage work.

Well he isn't as durable as he was in college but I also see it as a team coach/trainers/issue

well whatever the line was in diegos favor going into the game should jump about 2 points more in their favor now...

This was a good match up for Thomas vs. a suspect SD Defense too. Vincent Jackson, Floyd and Gates are all out for this game probably. Their entire offense is hobbled and we will still lose. Pathetic ...

Reggie Bush has to step up here or this game will be a blowout. 0-4 here we come!

if the lines 7 or less in diegos favor sprint your money to your local bookie

Rookie tailbacks are not known for staying healthy week to week when you're forced to rely on them too much. We're just going to have to live with weeks like this where he's got some nagging injury that won't let him play.

On the bright side I think he's shown enough to start to maybe forecast a huge breakout year for him in 2012.

I think the line started at -9.0. Even with all the injuries to the Chargers, it looked to me like Vegas oddsmakers were picking this to be the week where either the Dolphins totally implode on themselves under the strain and frustration of how the season is going, or Phil Rivers finally gets his passing attack back on track and explodes.

Or both.

Wierd that hamsting would "flare up" after playing 2 full games. If it was going to flare up, it seems like it would have happened in his first game with the amount of action he got. Im no doctor, but Ive had hamstring injuries before and it seems kinda strange to me.

i smell a blow out...even with the chargers missing so many guys...this ones got ugly written all over it...there's too much negative energy and finger pointing in that lockerroom for it to go any other way...

as for daniel thomas unless i'm mistaken he sat out the scouting combine and couldn't work out much predraft due to a lingering hammy issue...i know he sat out for some ailment and i want to say it was hammy

if i'm sparano i'd avoid eye contact with the turk on the monday after this game...bye week...if ross is gonna fire sparano during the season that would be the time and the day to do it...monday october 3rd

hell...wouldn't shock me if he was fired on the plane ride back to davie sunday night...

What kind of production could you expect from him next season? (assuming he is on track for a similar amount of carries)

I disagree. Dolphins played pretty well last week and were unlucky to lose in final minute. This is a great opportunity for an upset victory.

they played well last week, but they played the browns.. most teams do play well against them. And luck had NOTHING to do with the last minute of the game.... it wasnt like a hailmary pass into the endzone or anything, our defense fell apart and didnt execute... luck had nothing to do with it
