Daniel Thomas held out of practice today.

You know what's funny is that it wouldn't shock me at all to see this as a game the Dolphins win. The Chargers are a weak team mentally from top to bottom (well, not Rivers, but the rest of them). They historically start slow. Norv Turner barely has the pulse of his locker room and is certainly no one's idea of a motivator.

This game with the Dolphins is a perfect trap game, and there are few teams that strike me as more eager to fall into a trap than San Diego. Even with all the players they're missing, no one expects them to lose. They've started faster than in previous years so whatever pressure is on them is off.

I'm not going to sit here and outright predict it, but that's my gut feeling on this one. A Dolphins win going into the bye week. Just enough to get some people believing so their hopes can be dashed again.

Yup. That sounds like the Dolphins under this regime, doesn't it?

ha ha...well we'll see fellas...and i don't think miami played particularly well against cleveland but to each his own...i smell a butt whoopin

I still cant figure out how Turner still has a job after all the underachieving his team has done. The game may be close, but we wont be able to stop Rivers in the 4th quarter, or anyone for that matter.

i smell a blow out...even with the chargers missing so many guys...this ones got ugly written all over it...there's too much negative energy and finger pointing in that lockerroom for it to go any other way... as for daniel thomas unless i'm mistaken he sat out the scouting combine and couldn't work out much predraft due to a lingering hammy issue...i know he sat out for some ailment and i want to say it was hammy

We don't lose in blowouts, its got to be gut wrenching to be a real phins game

@ new england week 17 last season...when the team quit on sparano...i think those kind of losses come much sooner this year...i think they've already quit on sparano

but we'll see...

It is that reason I hope they don't fire TS, keep him around to secure Luck.

guy starting to look injury prone
granted running backs in general have a hard time staying healthy..
Dolphins love running up the middle i expect to see bush up the middle.
I think the dolphins have a hard time adjusting plans or changing philosophy
to use a different typa player i dont know if it is stubbornness or just lack of forethought.

I think the dolphin will play the best football of the year vs the jets
this will be like the dolphins playoffs and winning it
after losing everything else will help the pain and grief of many players and fans..

I have the dolphins beating the jets...
for a record of 1-4

well whatever the line was in diegos favor going into the game should jump about 2 points more in their favor now...

I hope it does. The population thinks the Chargers are a better team than they are, therefore Vegas usually gives value in Charger games because they give more points than they really should in a lot of cases. I believe the Chargers are 0-3 ATS this year. I know they didnt cover against the Vikings or Chiefs because I won those best taking the underdog. I think New England ended up beating them by 10-14 points so they didnt cover the spread in that game either. The Chargers have a lot of the same problems as the Fins. They do a lot of the "small" things really badly. The Chargers are just more talented offensively so they can over-come mistakes, the Fins can't. I'd love to see this game get to +9 Miami. Give me a reason to root for the Fins. I'm impartial right now.
