Great poll! I selected neither because they both blow chunks! They had their chance. Time for somebody else to get a shot.

To me this is an easy question . . . you keep Daniel Thomas over Marcus Thigpen. The return game is a diminishing event in the NFL and Thigpen doesn't offer anything as a running back. In the slot he shows a little promise, however when you have Landry, Gibson, Matthews, Hartline and even Mike Wallace as guys who can operate out of the slot, you don't need a Thigpen on your team. People see that one flourish he had in the 4th quarter and get giddy about the potential but lets not forget he just muffed an easy punt WITH ROOM earlier in the game.

Daniel Thomas hasn't been great either but the guy has consistently battled injuries. I was high on him ever since he got drafted but was down at him after the poor efforts he put up in pass protection last season. With his size, you gotta do better. I will say I have more hope for him at RB because I'm completely not sold on Lamar Miller and Knowshon's injury history. I don't see anything wrong keeping your 2011 2nd round pick on the roster, at least at first to see if you get a positive response out of him the first month of the season. When Dion Jordan and Reshad come back, 2 people will have to get cut and decisions still can be made here.

I do want D5 on this team though. Roll with 4 backs (Moreno, Miller, Thomas and D5) to start the season . . . Clay/Hoskins at TE give you that FB/H-back option as well.

I'm thinking we keep both. The return game has diminished but field position and maybe a big play or two will add more to the team than a 6th WR, who will not see much of the field or a 4th RB, who will be the same. JMO

Between the two, Thigpen. Not because he's good, but because he's a solid special teams player that can play multiple offensive spots too. Thomas is a little back in a big back's body, and has never been productive. Frankly I think you drop both.

These were two names I very much wanted to see on our cut list. Can't wait to watch Landry tear it up on special teams.

Good riddance to both those no trick ponies.
