Daniel Thomas

Knowing finheaven and all the Thomas haters some folks are probably pissed he was the hero.

Dude. I am not a fan of Daniel Thomas. I Love the Fins. Happy they Won. Happy he finally contributed 3 years in. He was a 2nd round pick, and before yesterday his longest run was 34 yards. He is still average at best. Notice every time he gets tackled, he gets pulled back instead of falling forward. Happy we won, happy D. Thomas had a good game. But he is average, and not a long term solution. By the way, on the long run he should have taken that to the House.

Daniel Thomas now has 8 rushing TD's in 8 different games. We are 7-1 when he rushes for a TD.
And the only loss was when Carpenter missed the game winner against the Jets. Should be 8-0

When you can rush it into the end zone it demoralizes the other team.

His vision is miles better than Miller's.

Miller wouldn't have gotten hurt if his vision wasn't so terrible.

he's run hard and physical all year...i thought they said he broke an ankle a couple weeks ago??? there's no way that guy was playing with a broken ankle last sunday...no way

When you look at yards after contact as well as causing defenders to miss tackles, DT's average is #14 of all NFL RB's.

Maybe they meant to say that DT broke a defenders ankle with a great move................................................................Nah. :)

Not to take anything away, but.....he had some HUMONGOUS HOLES to run through. Also, he kinda screwed up that long run by how he took angles and used his blockers. That really could've been and maybe should've been a TD run. There was only like one guy back there for Pittsburgh and Thomas got himself tackled by the guy. Also, Thomas kinda quit running and settled for being shoved out of bounds instead of making that guy bring him down.

However, he's got better vision at this point than Miller and Miller might've missed SOME of the holes that Thomas found.

"not to take anything away from DT he had great day and was key to victory but I also like to add the snow may have provided a sauce for the goose environment for him. That being the case if we are lucky enough to make the playoffs and we have to go no the road to a bad weather city it's good to know we have the RB that is essential for a bad weather game"

My favorite post in this thread.

"He had a good game, we should also mention the catch he made on 3rd down and they tacked on the 15 yarder (half the distance in this case)"

Good point about the catch. At the time, "Nice Catch" did come out of my mouth instantly. That's not an easy catch for RBs. That ball had some heat on it, through the snow yet.
Miller's been catching it really well lately too. Early in the year I was regretting that we didn't have a true receiving-RB cuz of Miller dropping some balls. Miller's stepped it up and both our backs can be really dangerous in the passing game.

The 55 yarder happen because of Sam Brenner and Pouncey on their pulls, both had a big impact on springing Thomas...

I'm really digging Brenner and hope he gets a chance to compete for a starting position next season.

Exactly, it isn't like DT broke a couple of tackles and made another guy miss. He just ran through a big hole. This was blocking not DT being awesome.

It's hard to figure out where some people are coming from because if Lamar Miller makes that same run everybody would be saying he's great and it shows how much better he is than Thomas. Thomas makes the run and he just gets sh** for it. Remember when Jonas Gray had his long run in preseason and everyone said it proved he should make the team and Thomas should be cut. Some people amaze me.
