what the heck is that tyler??? i know you're chunky but your cheeks look like you've been storing acorns...ha ha

Waterlogged from my tears after you said you werent even mildly surprised I was off on the team predictions.

I really like Dansby and he is telling it like it is. However, he has no right to be saying things like that right now at this state of the team.
What did you guys think he would say ? Hartline said pretty much the same thing.
I would not want a player if he was OK with losing.

well i didn't call you out by name or anything...it was random til you just gave it away...but you should have known better than to pick a winner with what transpired this offseason and getting a glimpse of things in the preseason...the writing was on the wall...not top 5 pick writing mind you but when things go bad they will go very bad this year...

anyways try to do better next year...ha ha

I had us at 8-8, so at least I didnt predict a winner. Honestly didnt dream we would be winless at this point though.

I think he did go a tad too far with calling all the "Suck For Luck" fans, fair weather fans, but he is right that losing on purpose is very weak. IF Miami ends up with Luck....awesome, but if they have to throw an entire season, show no heart, or pride to do so, that will make every other fan base laugh thier hearts out at the Miami organization.

Don Shula would be ashamed

Dan Marino already is

next maybe he could tell us where he has been for the past 5 games?

I don't know why people can't get past this losing on purpose idea. We are not rooting for them to lose on purpose we are just rooting for them to lose. We realize rooting against them has no impact on the outcome of the game and we realize the players aren't missing tackles, passes, field goals or whatever on purpose.

We are rooting for them to lose the same way you would root for the jets to lose any given weekend. I really think it's just rhetoric invented by the anti luckers to try to make us look worse and make them look better so they can proclaim "me good fan, you bad fan"

Well, whatever. You have your right to an opinion (as we all do), but whatever it is that you are talking about with some guy on a tree getting attacked by dogs baffles the heck out of me.

And to just about everyone on the SFL train: Yes, you have attacked those of us who do not agree with SFL. You have belittled our intelligence from the first time any of us have questioned the thought process behind SFL. We stand our ground with as much conviction as any of you.

In a different post I had the same type of crap being pulled on me. I was called a loser and someone actually had the audacity to ask me what I did for a living because they were sure it was something pathetic. When I told them I was a Laboratory Scientist they changed and told me then I egghead and could not grasp the ideas of risking everything on a possible solution next season. It is pathetic. Some (Not All or even the majority) of the SFL are quick to ridicule you and think that we are Sporano supporters or even content with mediocrity, when that is not the case. As far as fanhood is concerned, we are all affected by this crap that is being put out on the field. I think we are all fans but choose to express it differently. It should not be about SFL but rather suck for the next and hopefully better coach and GM. That is what will turn us around not one player and most likely the two go together.

In reading the posts, it seems that you and I share the same ideas about playing to win and letting the chips fall where they fall. If we are in position to take Luck, then yes I want to take the chance but I can't actively root for it. I really do not have a problem with the SFL attitude. If I had a problem, it would be for the ones who were calling for the SFL before we even played a game this year and there have been a few.

So by that same logic, my rooting for them to win has no bearing on the season and my fanhood should not be questioned!!! Also in rooting for them to win and it having to bearing on the outcome, I should not be accused of being ok with mediocrity and being a Sporano supporter because neither apply to me.

Good posts Cali Finfan, but we are among the minority. I do find it funny how the other side takes such offense at terms like "fair weather fan" yet they have no problem calling us blind homers who can't comprehend their "long term logic." I think most of us are fully capable of understanding the logic, it's just whether or not you want to actively cheer against the dolphins.

Unfortunately this debate is what we have to look forward to for the next 11 weeks.

And it's **** like this that drives us even more insane.

In no way shape or form and I cheering against the Dolphins.

I know they suck. I know they're going to lose 9 out of 10 times. They're bad enough to lose on their own. I don't have to cheer it on. And when they do lose, I'm not mad but I also understand how in the end, if we lose enough, that it's highly beneficial for the fans and the franchise.

Some of you can't see it now, but you'll understand it if we land Andrew Luck and hit the playoffs year after year after year.

As stated in my previous post us blind homers "can't see it" as you put it. I assure you we "can see it." I don't think the debate has ever been whether or not Luck will be beneficial or the best thing long term.

Not sure I get why you responded to my post in such an irrelevant way. There are those who openly cheer for the team to lose. If you are not among that group then my post didn't pertain to you.

Just to avoid further confusion I (and every dolphin fan S4L or not) wants the team to draft Luck given the chance. Even if we aren't first overall I think most people would want to sell the farm to get him.
