Lets bring in a normal QB instead of a great athlete(Minus the athletic ability due to a devastating injury). I think with our personel we dont need a superstar quarterback. lets bring in joey and give him a limited role ala Ben rothlesberger, maybe he can manage the game instead of dropping back and falling down, or getting chased down by 300 plus linemen. I say we win and lose as a team and not let the QB play dictate our entire game.

We haven't had a super star quarterback since Marino. Where did it get us?

lol i find it hilaroius how everybody was in love with pep when we made the trade and now after week 2 there about ready to boo him outta miami

the same place Marino got us... 0 super bowls

I was never on the C-Pep bandwagon, I thought he was a good gamble for a second round pick, but I never thought he was the long term answer

Which brings up my point. Its more than the QB.

yea we shoulda kept feely, what were we thinking. Daunte hasn't given us a win, time to cut him. you should be an nfl gm littlemarino, you could take a team to the superbowl with those nfl insights.

Hey Sage Rosenfels has produced more than this guy, but keep on the Dante train, you and him can go down together.

I agree with what your saying, Daunte being nervous dropping balls taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away etc... needs to be eliminated and I think most would agree they'd rather have a Frerotte in there rather than the Daunte we saw in the Bills game. However, having invested as much as we have in Daunte and taking into consideration his potential it is far to early to abandon the goodship Daunte. We've got to ride it out this season and see where he takes us. If this storm continues into midseason well the goodship Daunte just might sink however theres always a chance that blueskies are ahead!

some of you guys have absolutely no patience. It's really annoying when people make a thread out of a thought that suddenly popped into their head, when in reality the exact same issue has been discussed thousands of times on thousands of threads

here;s an idea, lets get Daunte to manage the game and use his athleticism when needed. Hmm. Yes, let's. :shakeno:

I agree . Id say maybe a younger version of what Frerotte was doing. We were keeping it close and staying competitive and posted wins against quality teams and it seemed like a group effort.Since Daunte came to town its all about catering to Daunte,Daunte needs better blocking ,Daunte s recievers arent getting open enough,Daunte needs more time to shake off rust,Daunte needs time to learn to throw the ball away,Daunte has a fragile ego and confidence. Its only cause we vested so much in him and we dont want to look like we made a bad move.Any other injured player wouldnt be out there and if a player screwed up Saban would be all over them, but not Daunte he gets as many chances as it takes.

Joey Harrington is a pretty damn good athlete. Four year starting QB in the NFL and healthy, right now he is quicker than C-Pepp and more mobile.

Did anyone catch the SI.com article this month about personal trainer Doug Hix - mentioned Joey and Big Ben both worked with this program. Drills on beach sand its pretty tough. Harrington works hard and no question is learning this Offense. He will be ready.

He appeared on the cover of SI a couple years ago "Young Guns" article about a group of QB's that came into the league in recent years. Brady leading the list no question. Brees, Carr, Vick, Big Ben, and Carson Palmer. All of these young QB's are very good - only Carr and Joey got stuck unfortunately on horrible teams. I'm not saying JH and Brady or Palmer are equal but we might be surprised if he is given a chance.
