Just incase some are interested to know. I know alot were PO'd when we released him. He was released by Buffalo this week. All for the better we got rid of him. I didnt realize how crappy of a player he was. 6 teams in 6 years.
 
Good lead blocker but still not a very good pass receiver. Lack of versatilty is why he cannot stick with one team for any length of time.
 
he may be crappy but he does keep finding work unlike some of the guys we have cut. Barnes is crap, Mauia is crap. fullback has been crap for a while.
 
He was great in the Madden Video game. Having him as a lead blocker for Ronnie was great. Too bad the game vastly overrated him.
 
He couldn't block either...the only thing he ever brought that I saw was enthusiasm...he was really hyper when he was out there. The guy obviously loves the game and brings spirit...that is probably why he keeps getting chances...

Getting rid of him was one of the moves I applauded!!!

Also, did anyone notice how big he got??? He put on alot of weight from what I remembered.

Not sure about the guy we have now...likes to cut block alot...as soon as guys start jumping over him...his days are numbered too. He needs to start making solid stand-up blocks, and punishing the defenders.
 
I would love to get a young Keith Byars. maybe next year

I noticed that the Ravens and Chargers have talented young FB's, and they were UDFA's

I loved Byars. The guy had great hands!!! Caught everything...and was good at getting downfield too. He made some long over-the-shoulder catches...not just wheel routes.

Im pretty sure McClain was drafted. I am a big fan of his and would have much preferred him over the Mauia debacle. never a fan of drafting a guy that barely started at a WAC school for a few games.

McClain was a 4th round draft pick out of Alabama.
 
I never like Barnes. Mauia was an upgrade. Unsure what to think about the new guy we have... what's his name?

I dont think mauia was an upgrade over anybody. he absolutely is lost as a FB.
