I think he played really well on Sunday and based upon one game is an upgrade over Heath Evans. It would be a bonus, if it turns out he has some decent hands. I hope he can continue the good blocking.

He's a devastating blocker. I love having a FB like him out there. He was absolutely crushing Atlanta LBers, I loved it. :)

I wish I could of seen the game to see him. About time we got a crusher back there.

This guy played his heart out , he was a BIG reason why our run game was looking good...

How great would that be if he could be a Lorenzo Neal for our team. He's a huge reason for LT's success.

I dont want to overhype the situation and sound like a homer, but that was one of the best blocking jobs I have seen from a FB in awhile. Maybe, because on TV they kept focusing on him punishing Brookings, I dunno.

I agree guys, Barnes was smashing people (Brookings) left and right....after the back got tackled or stood up - you'd then see Barnes pushing the pile for 2 or 3 more yards on more than one occasion...dude is a beast - pay that man coach!:D

Keep it up Barnes.

Jamar Martin was pretty solid, but he didnt block like Barnes did. Martin would get a big pop on a defender, and that's it. Barnes got the pop, and then didnt stop pushing until after the whistle.

I liked him in Dallas last season, and as I can remember, he was solid in the passing game on top of his devastating blocking. He came in when Richie Anderson got hurt.
