Darius Walker to the NFL

Wow, that is a shock to me. I just saw it on the bottom line on ESPN that the former junior running back of Notre Dame will declare for the NFL draft. I know he's pretty good but does anyone know if this kid is NFL ready? That suprises me.

I don't think he wants to stay since Quinn and Szmarja(sp) are both leaving.

Yeah they will be fairly young next year and its probably not a bad move for Walker. I really don't see him as a really high draft pick.

He's a good back. Maybe a third or fourth rounder. Not sure why he is leaving. Should stay an extra year to boost his stock.

Personally for him (staying would have been best--stock wise), for our team he seems to show some great promise, possible later round pick to replace Minor. Question is he fast enough to be a KR/PR, i dont remember seeing him do that for ND.

It breaks my heart that this kid didnt have break away speed.... or he could have made a really big difference. D Walker has vision and moves that are outstanding, and he is very explosive stop and go wise, but as for breakaway speed, or top end, he doesnt have it at all....

He is going to end up being a starter somewhere, he has that type of talent. ND is starting over next year, and for him to stay could KILL his stock when teams realize to beat ND you put 9 in the box.

A replacement for Minor? He is better than a 3rd/4th RB.
