Darkhorse GM Candidates

bill polians overrated...he got on peyton mannings coattails and has been riding him for a decade...no manning no wins...tells me all i need to know...and poor jim caldwell...he's not head coaching material anyways but he's the sacrificial lamb

Coach Chin wants full control. Let him have it. Time to end this circus.

Caldwell sucks...he was coach at Wake Forest and I remember him saying it was hard to recruit because they're Wake Forest...a defeated attitude if I ever saw one.

I agree on Caldwell..But Polian is one of the best gm's of the best 20 years. He built the Bills teams in the 90's and Colts were awful before he got there.. The Colts are bad because manning is out yes. But Manning is the reason why the other qb's didnt get reps. Polian drafts perfectly for their system.

Tony Dungy, Ted Thompson, Russ Ball...I also like Scott Studwell who played for the Vikings and is a college scout for them.

No I wasnt there, and alas as both you and I dont have a day to day insight into Miami affairs I have to take accounts from various sources and make my own decisions/opinions.

If you think Bryant was classless then that's your opinion.

tony dungy...ugh

Without Tony Dungy there would never have been a Chucky Gruden Superbowl title in Tampa. Dungy did all the work of putting that team together and Gruden got all the credit.

while Dungy built the defense. Warren Sapp, John Lynch, Derrick Brooks, AND Ronde Barber have all been open in saying that they were never going to win a Super Bowl with the way Dungy ran the team.

And to clarify Cowher, he wants full control in the aspect that he wants to hire his own guy to run football operations. Everybody pretty much says he wants either Kevin Colbert or Omar Kahn

yeah i was gonna say i didn't think cowher wanted full control as in he's the gm...and to be honest i'm not sure i want my head coach the gm...thats some dicey stuff...could be a great coach and motivator of men and an awful draft talent evaluator...but really thats a lot to put on a guys plate now a days...

i like ball decosta colbert and the guy in pittsburgh can't think of his name that others mentioned...

you add cowher and luck and we're in business...

I'd be ok with this. Ever since I heard Ireland's explanation of his pre-draft conversation about the questions he asked Dez Bryant (about his mom), I have wondered about Ireland. The draft picks we have made, and the guys we have passed on have been real head scratchers. Taking Ted Ginn, Jr. over Patrick Willis and several other top players is just one example. We need to clean out all of Bill Parcell's hires, fumigate the place, and start over.
