Keep in mind, Miami sources told me they'd meet "potentially Sunday, Monday or Tuesday." Peyton clearly keeping schedule somewhat flexible.
 
I know Miami is going to meet with him eventually. Some people here really think the Dolphins do not want him.

?? Darlington is as reliable as it gets, more reliable than any of these clowns we have as beat writers except Barry Jackson. He just reported what they told him, he's not one to report bull****.
 
I think if the Dolphins were smart they would have Dan Marino at any potential meeting and have him give his best sale's speech to convince Manning this is the best place for him. Manning idolized Marino and I think Dan could sell him into coming here. Miami may not be able to match the $$$ Denver is offering, but Miami has warmer weather, Manning and his wife already have a place in Miami....I think Miami needs to convince Manning that they will bring in some offensive weapons.....maybe Wayne and Clark. I am sure John Elway made his best car salesman pitch to Manning, and we should do the same. If it just comes down to money and he chooses Denver over us, than I think you wish him the best in Denver, and start looking at Matt Flynn.
 
I think it will be before Tuesday...I think he wants this done before free agency starts.
 
It would be nice to have Peyton's answer regardless, prior to the start of Free Agency. I would hate for us to put all our eggs in one basket only to end up missing out on potential players because we were too late pursuing them.

manning and marino are golf buddies, im sure marino has done some recruiting, hopefully they will go golfing in the next couple days.
 
I wouldn't be shocked if Manning signs with Denver today out tomorrow!
 
Damn its starting to seem like there's no sense of urgency on Miami's part. Which means interest is most likely low.
