First really good news I've heard in a while.

As Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga's noon deadline approaches today, it appears very likely wide receiver Ted Ginn will indeed report to camp on time with a contract agreement intact.

Both sides were working feverishly late Thursday evening toward putting the finishing touches on a deal. For several hours, Dolphins executives were even optimistic they would have their first-round draft pick signed by the end of the night Thursday.

The principal terms of Ginn's contract have been in place since Monday, but both sides still needed several days to iron out backside incentives and extras. The process, however, was stalled for several reasons, including a lack of signings by first-round players.

Very good news if Darlington has this right.

Yes, stalled for several reasons, including his agent being a greedy moron.

Even if it's not right....a great relief has come over me. Let's just wait and see til noon.

Yeah i heard on 790theticket this morning that Ginn is really close on signing but thats what we've been hearing for the past couple of days. It's about to be 10 am est let's hope he gets it done by noon.

yea alot of times people want to rip the player, but its usually the agent that gives the grief. Come Teddy, get it done and lets get this Fins team on the right path.

I hope this is true. I've been checking the newswires all morning waiting for a report of confirmation of Ginn signing.

Already posted in another Ginn thread but good news. Thanks.

I'm listening to 560 but no word yet.

This is significant enough for its own thread.

I think when they look Ted in the eye after all the negotiating with the noon deadline coming up and they ask him if he really wants to challenge the billionaire owner's proclamation over some silly incentives and escalators in the back of the contract, I do not imagine Ted Jr., or Ted Sr. for that matter, saying "yes."

This will get done by noon today. He will be at the 1pm meeting.

The Texans have also signed Amobi Okoye. He was the #10 pick. Ginn is completely bracketed now. There is no reason the deal won't get done shortly.
