Darlington shares some info on Martin. Amazing how much better he is as a journalist than some of our beat writers & he covers different teams each week.

The main point I took was that Martin hopes to return in several weeks & that he has been in touch with some teammates. I also saw somewhere where Martin posted on his FB pg to NOT believe everything you read (I don't recall where I saw that - sorry). I hope whatever it is that he takes the time to get it worked out.
 
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports Dolphins RT Jonathan Martin's (illness) absence is considered "indefinite."
He'll be placed on the reserve/non-football illness list shortly. It's believed LG Richie Incognito -- one of the heads of the Dolphins' team leadership council -- was at the forefront of the "bullying" that led to Martin's mental meltdown. The Fins will move forward with Tyson Clabo at right tackle.

Really speaks to incognitos character that he would bully his own teammate to the point of self destruction. You know when your going to far. This is pretty cowardly on his part, I don't care how weird Martin is.

I wonder if martin went and hid after he got this haircut in preseaon hazing. Doubt it.

Its hard to tell from where we sit, could you imagine traveling everyday, practicing everyday, sitting, sleeping, eating, everyday surrounded by people who made you feel like an outcast? And the main guy leading the charge is not only the guy you play next to but a team vet.

I think its clear the stanford grad wasn't like the other guys, and was constantly hazed for it. hazing is one thing, but when it gets to the point where he doesn't feel like part of the team, that's bullying.
 
yeah man you cant say martin handled it poorly! what if hes mentally unstable, stressed out? then coming to work hes getting made fun of or laughed all the time, that can push a person over the edge. bottom line is incognito is and always will be a an assho*e.
 
IIRC, Incognito has mental issues too and he is on meds. It's like the equivalent of dumb and dumber. If I was Martin I would have asked incognito how he is immune for the 1-2 busted qb killing plays he is good for a game.
