He was still rated one of the top corners in the NFL last year and that was in a system that didn't even use his best strengths.

I dont know how that would work, but its not something you want to do, if you did, and you had to cut him, you'd be looking at a ridiculous amount of dead money the next season.
 
I remember hearing something last year about Bucs playing a style of defense that didn't fit Revis.

When the Bucs cut him, because they will, I would offer Revis. However I wouldn't offer him a penny more than Grimes. I'd give them nearly identical offers and that could set the table for the rest of the defense.
 
Grimes+Revis? I know it won't happen but wow would that be amazing! Nice to dream! That's what FA is about!

Convert the yearly salary to a signing bonus and spread it around the remainder of the contract...I saw it on profootballtalk....
 
Revis + Grimes = a ton of sacks for Wake and Vernon. Sign me up.

Yeah. Cause that one interception he had last year really puts him above the rest.. Also let's sign him so he holds out next season to be the highest overpaid player in the league again

Revis will be back to form this season and we would have the best CB duo bar none along with one of the best pass rushes. With that on defense and if Tannehill can step it up a notch we could start winning games by 20-40 points.
 
revis will be released. i can't imagine anyone will trade for revis, and then pay the 16mil for him. but as long as the raiders are still in the NFL, anything is possible. :lol:
 
i can't imagine NE wanting to pay revis big money either. they didn't even want to pay aqib talib. i'm sure revis will be up there in money.
 
U never know, Brady and bill getting long in tooth, and just missed by a game. I don't think it is likely but still I'd rather cheer the eagles on here
