Darrius Hayward-Bey From Maryland @ 25?

I don't think Crabtree will make it past Seattle's pick.

Yes, he will. SEA will fix WR in FA. They will sign someone like TJ Housh. They will not be drafting Crabtree. I see Crabtree going to a team like CIN.

In other words....give you Ernest Wilford? Don't we already have him?

What do you have against Barden? He broke Jerry Rice's record of consecutive games with a TD. He has amazing stats. I think Barden is going to surprise you in the NFL.

I just don't see how a football mind like Parcells/Ireland to pick an ERnest Wilford clone? They already have a 6'4" big redzone target in Wilford.

They didn't like the fact that he doesn't get as much separation as they'd like. Well, Barden is a projected second day pick for a reason....the same reasons that Sparano didn't play Wilford this year.

Remember, Wilford is able to put up numbers. See his days in JAC. So the reason they didn't play him is not because he wasn't able to put up numbers, he did that already to cause them to sign him to a big contract.

They are not going to dump Wilford, causing us to eat precious salary cap space...and then draft a player with exactly the same issues that Wilford has.

That's what I have against drafting Barden. Nothing against "him", just against the idea of dumping a Barden clone and drafting a Wilford clone...

OK now I get where you are coming from. I don't agree but at least now I understand. I feel like there's an issue with Wilford and that's why he wasn't on the field this year. Maybe he has a JT issue and pissed off the coaches.

Hmm? Don't think that was it. Listening to Sparano and Pasqualoni's interviews...they sounded as if they liked Wilford personally. They mentioned how he was getting better in practice and that he was a good person.

I think it had everything to do with the kind of separation he got. Which of course, is Barden's issues.

Even if he has separation issues, he has the physical ability to go up and get the ball. He makes plays.

Wilford has serious issues catching the ball. THAT was what planted him on the bench and had him inactive almost every game last season.

Barden has great hands. BIG BIG difference.

Wilford runs almost a 4.8 40. Barden is expected to run in the mid 4.5s.

They both are tall with a decent vertical. Wilford at 40 and Ramses maybe around 42 or 43.

To try to draw a link between these two is just flat out inaccurate.

Ramses is clearly the better athlete and should be a player in the NFL. Even if he has problems getting separation in the middle of the field, he will be a major weapon down by the endzone.

And with good coaching, I'm sure he can develop into a solid pro.

I'm not against drafting Barden later, but honestly, all the postiives people are saying about Barden ... don't they apply to London as well? I'm hoping for a receiver more along the lines of a Hakeem Nicks, but we will not draft him in the 1st round and I doubt he's available in the 2nd where we would consider it. I think Nicks can become a very good receiver in the NFL.

Unless the Raiders take him Heyward Bey shouldnt be a 1st round pick. Yeah he runs a sub 4.3 forty but he is just a track star. Not a #1 WR and maybe not even a #2. He could be dangerous out of the wildcat but how long can we run the cat. Im gonna be pissed if we take him. Prob Defense with BP past picks. But Alex Mack , Duke Robinson would be hard to pass up. Mack is the best C prospect in along time. Duke is a great guard. Put him beside Long and the Left side is set for 10 years and should be dominant. My personal opinion is that we take Vonte Davis,William Moore, DJ Moore, Sintim, Laurinitis if they are there in that order. In the 2nd we should take Sean Smith if we dont take a Safety with #25. If we dont take a OL we should def take Loadhold, Kropog, Unger, or Herman Johnson with one of the 2nd round picks. I think we def have to get a CB if we dont sign one like Dunta Robinson. Mickens , Lindley, Macho, Alphonso smith, Darius Butler, Coye Francis should be there with our 2nd round pick. CB is a priority IMO. I was very dissappointed we didnt take one last year. But we took a few RB . If we take any RB this year Im gonna be pissed unless its a hell of a pick in the 7th. I think Id rather take Sammie Lee Hill than Ron Brace. Brace will cost us a 2nd and Hill will prob be a 7th. Same size Brace is just known cause of Raji and will suck without him. And I would rather have Sean SMith over Delmas, Johnson at Safety

If we go WR early...which we likely won't, it would be Hakeem Nicks if anyone. No way we take DHB.

Not much competition for Heyward-Bey for me to lock him in at 25. Far from it. The idea is to skip the ? and find the player who will have instant impact from day one. I agree with Hakeem Nicks and could we get him at 44? Too early yet. Too much to happen yet. I think Parcells is eyeing LB/S more than anything at this spot right now.

Heyward-Bey is a possibility but is very unlikely. He is likely to be on the board come the middle of the second round, so he could be worth a shot with the first of our two second round picks.

no love for patrick turner, iglesias, or robiskie with one of the second round picks???

I'm gonna have my eye on all these guys at the combine. iglesias caught everything thrown to him in the senior bowl, and seems to have excellent field awareness.

turner has intriguing size at I believe 6'5".
robiskie is a few inches shorter but seemed to run some pretty good routes.

we can certainly land a WR in the second round if we decide to pull the trigger on somebody IMO.

I really like Iglesias too. He seems like he will be a solid pro. He catches everything close to him and has speed and size.

I can't wait til the combine. All of the questions about guys speed and agility will get answered then.

This looks like an even better crop that last years WRs.

I wouldn't mind getting Demetrius Byrd from LSU in the later rounds. Or Hakeem Nicks with our 2nd rounder.

Who is Seattle going to pick up in FA that will fix their position? Houshmanzadeh? They need a legit #1 guy. Branch could be that guy, but he can never stay healthy, Engrams getting old, and Burleson is hot and cold.
