Just heard about him today but as I read that he is 6'2''/6'3'' , 205 pounds and is expected to run a 4.2 I was very impressed..
I've done some research and he is a very physical receiver (maybe one of the best this year they say) and is very fast.. Has playmaking ability and is projected to be gone in the top 35 picks..

I would like to draft him but I am not sure if the WR position is so high on our priority list that we would spend a potential 1st round pick / or trade up in the early 2nd round on him or any receiver, however Heyward-Bey looks very intimidating to me..

Thoughts ?

He'd be a good fit, especially at our first 2nd round spot, provided he's around by the time we pick there.

I hate first round WR's

give me a 6'0" 200 pound guy who runs a 4.5, with good hands who can run routes

even when they aren't busts they usually take a year to get up to speed

find me the next Boldin and not the next Yatil green

Don't we already have an underdeveloped 6'3", 205 lbs guy that runs a 4.15 on our practice squad named Todd Lowber? We also didn't have to use a first rounder on him.

damn,that's greased lightning fast there,lol...

Heyward Bey is one of my favorite college players to watch. I watch many of the UMD games and I will say, with consistency at the QB position, this guy would make big plays on a more consistent basis. The problem that I have seen out of DHB is that throughout the season he would show up one game but not the next. I tell you what, he has great size for his great speed. I would definately chance a 2nd round on him since we have 2 of them. Problem is, do we really need him due to our Wr depth?

Yes I think we got Lowber on our practice squad but he is extremley undeveloped.. I think Lowber has started playing football just a couple years ago if I remember correctly.. Heyward-Bey is also a bit raw.. I would pick him with one of our 2nd round picks if he drops so far..q

I'm not sold on Heyward-Bey.

Be sold man. with a consistent QB at UMD he would have put up greater numbers.
this might just be me speaking because im a maryland fan, But i really do think Howard-Bey is worth a 2nd rounder, should we take him? Probably not.

He just kind of seems like the next Chad Jackson to me.

Eh, don't want another track star on this team. Let Al Davis take him.

hayward bay is not the wr iam looking for and about todd lowber the basketball player just started playing football a few years ago so may be start him in preseason definatly has the speed and physicallity to be affective in special teams not sure if he can hand onto that ball
