Dashon Goldson was just released
any ability left with this guy?
He had a good year last season not so much this year
He's only played 5defensive snaps this season and 52 special team snaps

Pick him up asap... we need as many options to replace Reshad.

I wouldn't mind it if coach really doesn't like our backup fs. I know reshad was ss but I think isa will fill the void Jones injury creates.

I'd say if Walt Aiken and Michael thomas don't work out well, then we have no other choice then to give some vet a shot.

Just realized the trade deadline is coming up. I don't necessarily advise it but a trade is a possibility.we should try to keep our picks though

Did someone say Walt Aikens? I can't remember the last time I saw a safety getting burned so consistently. He was the worst player on the field at any given time when he saw playtime last season (and this is considering we had the worst LB crew in the NFL).

never seemed to get it together in tampa...lots of penalties...couldn't work in their defense....blown assignments....i think his best days are long behind him

Story time.

I used to play Beach Flag Football. It was mostly all about beers after the game, but I digress. A couple of years ago (I think 2011), during my beach football league season we played another really good team for the championship. Now, my team was defending champs and we had some ballers, but this team CRUSHED us. They were 10x faster. Like not even close. I was asked to guard this really tall WR, who also took several snaps as their QB. Anyway, I couldn't catch this guy if I was on a motorcycle. He was tall, fast and basically a beast. Come to find out days later, a few of the other teams players were actually offseason NFL players, and the guy I was guarding was Dashon Goldson. Dude was good then. Went to the Pro Bowl for the Niners that year. That was long ago in football years, I'm afraid. I think he's washed up now.

The end.

I think Dashon is done.

Louis Delmas is available? LOL

I wonder about Antrelle Rolle and James Ihedigbo.

Well, he's 32 years old, which is corpse territory for a DB.

The Falcons picked him to fill a backup role when Keanu Neal injured his knee. Goldson made one tackle.

I guess he'd be emergency depth but he's lost his fastball.

I think were staying with what we have which I don't think will turn out so well.

Maybe they promote Hendy at some point or they might give Lucas some run I saw someplace.

I would like to see what AJ has at this point. No doubt, losing Reshad is a huge deal for us.

Same here. Just not sure if he is ready yet - if they dont promote him I guess we have our answer - the staff just doesnt think he is ready.

Of course. Right now we have pretty much zero real options to replace Jones. Micheal Thomas is meh at best, we've already seen aikens try safety, and he didn't do well even WITH Reshad helping cover some of his ground. Goldson might not be what he was, but he did have talent at one point and he is in a similar run stopping mold.

The 2 time probowler who had over 100 tackles last season was dealing with nagging hamstring issues from the beginning of September
