That baseball infield and Dante's knee makes me worry some. I hate that infield with a passion. I will be more concerned come weeks 2 and 3 when we play at home to be frank.

Very true. All the other players that seemed healthy are sitting out.

He's at 85% now and would probably start today. Add in 4-5 weeks or so to get healthier and the odds are overwhelmingly in favor of DC starting week 1. It would take an injury or a setback to derail his starting. Since there has been no evidence of even swelling and there is no contact for the QBs, either of those would have to be considered a freak occurrence.

Yes, they'll be careful with him in the preseason and have him ready for the opener. I think they are apprehensive about Harrington. But if there are any concerns, he sits given we start at Pitt on the road and have almost 10 days before the next game.

i'd like to believe he will, but whether he should or not will depend on how he does during the preseason games. he hasn't been rushed yet and i'm not talking about the stuff they do during practice. he wears a red shirt, doesn't get hit. i'm talking about a real game where someone will be gunning for him. preseason is the time for some of the newbies to impress their coaches so they will be going after him. if he, his doctors and the coaches are comfortable, then my opinion won't matter. so yeah, i'd like to see him play the first game, but i wouldn't want to rush him back and pay for it later. joey had one of his better games last season against the steelers. they did lose, but as far as individual performance, he did pretty good...imho

Based on everything I've read so far, I'd say he's easily gonna be out there. My worry isn't if he's gonna be there on day 1, but rather what kind of hits can he take once he is?
