I have seen Viking fans call him this, I have seen Bills fans cal him this, and I have seen Dolphin fans call him this..

He had a 21 on the wonderlic.. Certainly isnt MENSA worthy, but its about the average. I mean, he isnt Vince "6" Young...

So when and how did Culpepper get this stigma of being a "Bonehead"?

I believe this is higher than what Marino scored as well. We all know how he worked out!!!
 
He got the stigma because his GPA and SAT scores were very, very low in high school. After his junior year, he looked like he may not even be able to go to college. But, he raised his grades enough as a senior.
 
I think it goes back to his ACT or SAT scores coming out of high school. Apparently they weren't good enough to get into a major college (not that UCF isn't a major college), but UCF was about the only Div 1 school he could go to.
 
If you read his life story the low scores are understood better. It was posted somewhere, I'll try and recall where it was.
 
you heard it from bills fans because they hate us, vikes fans cause they got rid of him and are tryign to say excuses for it and you hear it from phin fans because phin fans are very critical of this team....if its not any of those reasons then idk, hes not an idiot, no hes not the smartest person in the world, he has average intelligence, which instantly makes him an idiot to anyone who doesnt like him or the dolphins
 
Am I the only who thinks the Wonderlic test is way overated? Daunte has got plenty enough smarts to play QB,plus he already knows our system(Linehan).
 
Chuck Norris scored a perfect 50 on the Wonderlic test, and the proctor never even saw his hands move!
 
Who cares how well they can read Shakespeare..... As long as they can read defense packages :D

He got the stigma because he isn't on their team. They are jealous of a Pro Bowl QB like Culpepper, so they say anything just to put him down and make them feel better about their own team. Heck, look at us. We all put Tom Brady down and bash him, but he is actually a very good quarterback and team leader.

Bills fans may bash him all they want, but deep down they are upset that we have a real QB and they are stuck with LOSSman.
 
I am pretty sure Marino had a 16.


Who cares if this guy is the smartest guy or not. You can either play football or you can't. It does not matter how smart you are cause if you can't throw a pass than your not going to be a success!
