Three quarterbacks all capable based on preseason and a couple of real games(exception of cleo). It's only been five games and so far we have two quarterbacks with similar stats and similary pts on the board. Most of us watched Cleo in the preseason and the offense ran the very same way.

Mularkey's offense allows us to insert any capable quarterback and we'll get the same results, so far anyway. Now, if we were putting up alot of pts, that would be a VERY good thing. But since we're only putting up ten pts a game it's not. Based on preseason and a few games this season, is proof that Mularkey is not a capable o-coordinater. I am so sick and tired of coaches that are so in love with their philosophy that they will force it on a large group of people instead of adapting to the talent he has.

We have Culpepper, throws a great long ball but is reduced to dinks and dumps. I guantee that if we threw downfield alot more in games we would not have been sacked as much. Pep missed on the chances he had but that was very few. If we did it more, he would of had more confidence in doing so.

We have Chris Chambers, a great reciever who never gets the ball. We pay these guys alot of money for their talent. In reality though, we can insurt anyone into these positions and they will put up similar stats. Why pay Pep millions of dollars to do what Joey can do for alot less. Why pay chambers millions when we can throw in m. vick who will run routes hard, block, and not have any balls thrown to him. I'm starting to think that coaches fall in love with their team looking good on paper that they don't bring in the types of players they really need or will not change their philosophy based on the talent we have. Saban loves a 3-4 defense, we don't have the personel for that yet, so he runs the 4-3 and mixes in the 3-4. That's GREAT, because he knows his talent. Mularkey is clueless as what to do with what he has.

When Marino began to emerge, before then we were a running team. We found a stud qb so we threw the ball. We did not try to run because Shula ran the ball for yrs.

I guess the point i'm trying to make is that we have alot of wasted talent on offense and our OC has no idea what to do with it.

Lastly, if I see another fake throw to the left and then a throw to the right for a screen or quick slant i'm going to strangle myself. It's ******ed plays like that, help put us back in yards.

Amen

or, why dont you get rid of mularkey and his system, which has been very unsuccessful. instead of just plugging in any quarterback to score ten points agame, why not bring in someone who can utilize culpeppers arm? seriously, how do you fix therunning game? by your argument we should just plug in minor and get rid of ronnie

My god Joey has been in for 1 game. Gimme a break.

maybe you missed the part where I said "Mularkey is not a capable OC". Or read my many other posts stating how Mularkey sucks and needs to go.

By my arguement, in Mularkey's system, you COULD replace Minor and put in RB and they would have similar stats which is not many yards. Mularkey's system does NOT equal production no matter who is in there. Wheras you have coaches that can put any capable Runningback in and them run for over a 1000 yards rushing. Such as shanahan. I believe BB is that way with recievers. Some coaches do have a system that produces pts as long as they have players that do the fundementals correctly, are coachable, and only do exactly what is expected of them. I'm saying it's possible, but so far Mularkey hasn't proven he's one of those OC. He needs to adapt to what he has or we need a new OC.

I'm not saying get rid of Daunte, joey, chambers, or whoever. I'm saying the skilled players we have, we are not utilizing them correctly or playing our offense to take advantage of our strengths. I keep hearing this "we take what they give us". I believe that's a very passive philosophy and it allows teams to dictate the way they want us to play. When you have players that have the talent we have, a team can gameplan all they want, put in their coverages, whatever, and they should not beable to stop those players from producing. I feel that our current offensive philosophy allows for our skilled players to be stopped.

Ex. Randy Moss... double cover him, whatever and he'll still catch the ball and score. But the Raiders don't throw the ball to him, he's not the focal point of their offense. When you pay a guy that much, sign him from FA, you make him the focal. He's a gamebreaker. We have those typed of players on our teams. It's our coaches fault for not getting them the ball.

Feed the studs.

well i agree somewhat with what you say, i too want to see more production but until we get an offensive line that can consistently block, you are going to see alot of quick dink and dunk passing, thats all we got.

I didn't see any problem last week, NE was blitzing but they could never get to Harrington, It's very awful to see that every play gives us 3 to 4 yards and then a stupid mistake or a penalty terminates the drive, The o-line was decent last week, but the play calls were absurd...

i think that the coaches need to make better accomodations for our roster on both sides off the ball in relation to using them effectively and getting the best oout of the team

I listen to all the players when they talk to the media and they all say it's just the little things. I forget what the final score of the Eagles and Cowboys game but Bledsoe threw three INTs and had a fumble. But yet they still put up 20 plus pts. If we have no turnovers on offense we still wouldn't put up that much. If our line improves greatly how to run block, ronnie still only rushes 15 times a game. With Mularkey calling the plays we will never generate pts.
