It seems that alot of you out there were demanding instant glory from a QB coming off of a horrible injury last year. It seems that people expected him to go out there and dominate, reguardless of the play of the rest of the team. The offensive line was attrocious, and Daunte never looked comfortable(untill his final drive).

Our Defense just wasnt able to cut their drives off early enough to get our rusty QB some more chances to dust his cob webs off. They werent able to creat any big game changing turnovers mostly due to the fact that Buffalo was able to garner key first downs, wasting much of the clock using short yardage attacks. Will Allen's pass interference doesnt even need mentioning as we all saw how pathetic and back breaking it was.

I'll give credit when its due, and thats to Buffalo's Defense and Special Teams. They showed up to play today and once we dug ourselves into a hole, those *******s never let us out of it.

Daunte's biggest problem in the game was his weak throw into double coverage in the red zone. It was a severe mis-judgment on the kind of strength he needed in the throw to make that pass and we really needed those points. Hopfuly Culpepper can fix these issues with some more work, but if our entire team does not show up to play each week, then we can not expect the Dolphins to live up to their potential.

Daunte's biggest problem is poor field vision. There were open WRs out there and he didn't see them. He also held onto the ball too long and doesn't even know HOW to throw it away.

Right, Poor field vision when the entire line has collapsed on you? He is known for being a mobile QB who can avoid sacks, yet he has no chance when 2 down lineman are all over him within 1 second.

Maybe he needs to work more about staying in the pocket, but I still feel that his problems so far this year are nothing more than stemming from his lack of play time since his injury.

The fact is that no QB would have won it for us with how the rest of our team played. Daunte didnt have a good game but it sure as hell wasnt his fault that we lost.

Except that wasn't the case a lot of the time.

Yes, the O-line is not performing all that well. But making excuses for Cpep is the answer either. CPep may not be ready to play yet.

Yeah I'll admit the line is not good but there are too many times, like that pick at the end of the second quarter today, that Duante just isn't seeing the field properly. There is no way after seeing the way he's moved around in the first 2 games that I'd excuse his poor play due to his injury.

Here's the reality

Daunte Culpepper looks a whole lot like the guy who played like crap before the injury...forget the injury...its an excuse for a guy who is running out of them.:tantrum:

He held on to the ball way too long so many time, plan and simple. He was dropping three steps and then holding on for 6 or 7 seconds some times, even when the O Line was holding up.

This is right on the money. You simply can not ignore how much better Minnesota got last year after Culpepper got hurt, and how much better they continue to look this year now that he is gone.

why cant we expect more from dc,take alook at palmer he looks great and had less time to get ready, hey brees doesnt look to bad either. both of these guys had terrible injurys but they seem to be doing alright.

carson palmer is coming of a very similar injury that happened what, 2 months later than dauntes? he's lookin pretty good right about now. daunte just sucks. end of story.

So what's the solution? If Culpepper continues to play poorly then what? I'm sure Harrington will get the same treatment if he's thrown in and starts looking bad. So what should Saban do? Suddenly keeping Gus one more year doesn't seem so bad. He knew the system and is familiar with the personnel. We have to play with the hand we're dealt now so hope for the best.

He's trying to do too much and he's screwing up.....that's 2 games where we could have a potentially different outcome if it weren't for interceptions after driving the length of the field.

Not to mention the time where he was going to get sacked and just froze up. Didn't try to evade the defender or anything....and the times he had a wide receiver wide open in the middle of the field and was too focused looking elsewhere.....just sad

Dante has had two bad showings but lets remember a few things...

1) he hasnt played entirely horrible games...hes played decent games with HUGE MISTAKES that cost us the win tottally, so its easy to point at him wich i do beleive he gets a good amount of blame the guy is f**king up...BUT it really is just too early and the rest of the team really is just not showing up...like i said in another post...give a few more weeks to fully evaluate this guy...yanking him and having a controversy is really only gonna hurt the leadership and confidence of this team more....if in a few weeks hes still screwing us every game then its harrington time...and holding on to any of the old guys besides maybe sage as a backup is crazy...harrington/culpepper are deff a step up regaurdless. lets be VERY SKEPTICAL of dante but lets not call for his head JUSTTT yetttt.
