I am tired of people saying how horrible Daunte Culpepper is.
He has 1 more yard per attempt a higher compleation pecentage whille being almost compleatly imobile due to injury and having to deal with a a terrible o line at the begining of the season.
If Daunte get his explosiveness back he will be very dangerous

lets all stop the comparisons, Joey is the guy for now. Daunte is the guy next year as long as he regains his form

I too support Daunte and I can't wait to get him back next year. But I have to agree with Nick1 right here. Joey is our guy for now and lets just support him until Daunte is healthy again.

Yes, I will support Joey as long as the defensive keeps us in games. Not to mention if Joey stops throwing stupid INT's.

I never liked Joey, but he is playing well enough to get us TD's, he scares the hell out of me when he throws the ball.

Just can't wait til C-Pep is back and 100% healthy, then the QB show will be underway.

I just hate it when people hate on him and say he is terrible.
He is a good QB that is coming off of a terrible injury.

ask the Vikes and his losing record with Pro bowl players surrounding him. Not much a resume if you ask me. Stats look good but still can't win.

You, like most people who don't know much about the game of football, need to get something through your head: STATS DON'T WIN GAMES!!!

I don't give a damn if Culpepper threw 20 yards per attempt more than Harrington, threw 8 more TD passes than Harrington, or had a rating 30 points higher than Harrington. It doesn't matter.

The fact is that Harrington is winning games. THAT is all that matters.

Give it up, Culpepper is done. HE will NEVER be dangerous again.

I have mixed feelings about Joey.

Things I love:

- His mobility and ability to step up and avoid sacks
- Quick release
- Accuracy and zip on short and intermediate routes
- His heart, determination and love for the game, aslo his positive attitude
- Ability to take shots and make first downs on 3rd downs

Things I can't stand:

- Inaccuracy deep down field
- Boneheaded mistakes that makes us all scratch our heads. (Just throw it away some times Joey, punting is beter than INTs.)
- How inaccurate he becomes when trying to force a ball
- Throwing it up oppose to just taking the sack

He's pretty even if you ask me. A lot of his problems are dealing with decision making when faced in a clutch situation. i.e 3rd downs, late in the half/game. I just want to quit with those mistakes and work on is downfield accuracy. If he can cure those, we are going to the playoffs IMO.

Ooooooooooooook football god, explain to me without using stats and the usual the offense just looks better excuse, how exactly Joey and not our defense is winning games.

How can you say he is done? He still has good accuracy, still has a monster arm, and with increaced mobility there is a good chance he can be dangerous again.

As for joey being a more of a winner thern daunte, joey is only 4-3 with our defence bailing him out of a few games. I am not saying he is bad either, he has done a good job at filling in.

If.....If.....If......If......If

That's the question with Joey if he can cure those.

Here's some stats for you: 6 turnovers and 7 points on the board. Opponent held to 10 points. 14 points on the board. Opponent held to 10 points.

That's what the defense did in Joey's 4 wins.

Do you really think that it's Joey that's winning games? Get a grip.

Culpepper - even being sacked 5 times a game - could win if the defense put 14 points on the board. The one game that the opponent was held to 10 points (Tennesse) with Culpepper, the Dolphins did win.

I like Joey - I hope he succeeds. But let's see if he can actually win a game for us when the defense has a letdown.

Here's my comparison of the two QBs......

Harrington: Starting QB

Culpepper: Injured

Seems pretty clear to me who the more capable QB is right now... As for next year... you can't do anything but speculate. We were under the impression that Culpepper would be healthy to play this year and look what happened. Now Joey has been given the opportunity to take the spotlight... this year isn't over...
