Anyone want to explain to me why people are still calling for Culpepper?

With a bum wheel his decision making was extremely slow. Having two good legs isnt going to speed up his decision making. Sure it might buy him a little bit of time but do the Phins really want a QB that to make anything happen has to be able to create time with his legs because he cant make decisions fast enough? To me your asking for trouble relying on a guy that has to improvise alot because his normal decision making is to dang slow.

Before I say anything.....do you think Joey is playing well?

If you say yes Im just going to walk away and not say anything...because my words wouldnt be worth the frustration....the guy is playing mediocre to terrible...

Well having a "bum wheel" exposed his weakness of reading D's and coverage and getting the ball out effectively but there is no denying that the mans effectiveness minus the "bum wheel" is pretty damn good so alot of folks have faith in his return when "healthy". There is no doubt his career rests pretty much solely on his ability to get healthy so of course folks are hoping for the best in that case because we all want the Phins to do well and if he doesn't get healthy it will be a bit of an embarassment to Nick Saban and the Dolphins franchise. So essentially it is in everyones best interest that he returns to form.

I do understand your concerns though, they are much the same as everyone elses.

Yes actually Joey is playing well, numerous analysts, players and coaches have stated so on national TV so I think that is pretty much a given at this point. Regardless what does this have to do with the discussion?

Does it say anywhere in my post that Joey is playing well? I think he is improving now that he has been getting alot more practice snaps and is acclimating himself to the playbook and his WRs. That being said he has a long ways to go. He may or may not be the answer but im pretty positive C.Pep isnt. His gunslinging days of Minnesota are over. He cant throw the ball 40 yards down field here and have a guy go up and make the play like he did in Minny.

Ive always liked Daunte but losing his mobility. (Which I dont think will ever return to where it was) will really effect his game. Daunte isnt and never will be a pocket passer and thats what I believe he will be relegated to. I certainly could be wrong but his decision making seems to take alot longer then most NFL qbs. He seems to me like a QB who had pretty good success playing off his physical abilities but not someone who is willing to work hard enough to overcome the loss of some of those abilities.

lol did i miss sumthing or did CC have a 15 catch 219 yard day against a bills team last year with sage rosenfels at the helm???lol and ur telling me rosenfels put it on the money the hole time?????? give the man a chance he was at best 70% healthy this year and he had an anemic o-line who coulde pass block for more than 2 seconds!!!!!! ur goona judge a pro bowl QB on five games...ill give him a lil more time than that....thats my view on the subject!

Because anyone who does think Joey is playing well

1) Is delusional

2) Obviously doesnt want Daunte playing.

The guy just played his first decent game last week, all the ones before that he played terribly.

Anyway the reason we would want Daunte in is

A) He is our best option at QB.

B) The only reason he has struggled have been physical ones

C) Everyone likes to point at Moss for his success, but his best season Moss barely played at all and only had 49 receptions.

I see, thank you for your insight! However it still has nothing to do with the topic of discussion raised by the original poster?

A,B and C did I thought

He asked why we would want Daunte in and I gave my reasons

1 and 2 were responding to what you had said to me.

Well you failed to address any of the points made in the original post, it just seems to me as if you've gone on a tirade in an attempt to distract attention away from the original questions being asked in order to promote the bashing of our current starting QB. Once again, I fail to see how your comments relate to this discussion?

How Joeys performance is perceived is very important to the discussion.

Lets take two people

Person A thinks Joey is playing great football.

Person B thinks he has been average at best.

You would need to adress each person differently in order to hold a conversation with them.

If you want me to take it a step further.

Id say (although not intentionally) the original post doesnt seem to promote anything other than Daunte bashing or a rant by someone about how bad he is.
