10 years and the team seems to be going inn the wrong direction ....Grier will need to have a super great draft AND hope that all the players he has brought in over the years with injury history can actually stay healthy all in the same season or else we'll miss the playoffs again

Dave Hyde has soured on Grier but like his article, it is too late.

Grier completely bungled the rebuild. Only one player draft since the 2019 has made the pro bowl while playing for the Dolphins, which was Tua in 2023.

He did with the re-build what his skills had exhibited he was capable of before the re-build. He tore down an average/slightly above average team and re-built it into an average/slightly above average team over a span of six years.

Not only that, but he also rid the team of a bunch of bloated contracts for undeserving, underperforming, and/or injury-prone players during the rebuild, only to put the team right back in the same position again. IMO, the fact that he's heading into his tenth year as GM and still doesn't even have five decent o-linemen is enough to fire him.

Dave Hyde writes negative articles - writers like him Brian Miller of Phin Phanatic, on the national level Colin Cowherd, they say/write things about the Dolphins that makes you wonder if they just can't see what really goes on or just have agendas that they must keep up with. Not too long ago, Dave Hyde was questioning the work that Chris Grier has done. The performance on the field is a teamwork of not only the Front Office but the Coaching Staff as well and Injury luck. The last 3 years, anyone being objective will tell you that the Injuries played a part in either the Dolphins losing in the Playoffs or not get there like last year. Chris Grier's job is to get his Coaches the Players and he does a good job of that. Last year, being cap-strapped, he was able to get Pro Bowl caliber guys like Jonnu S., A. Brewer, J. Brooks, Calais C.! Even this year, with around $20M only in cap space, he has signed 1 starting Safety, re-signed starting ILB, 1 starting G, #3 WR, upgrade at Punter, top 3 blocking TE per Seattle's GM! Just 8-9 months ago, the Players voted Miami with the second most top 100 players! PFF and Fox among others voted Miami as a top 10 talented team last Summer. Grier is not perfect but he does a much better job than some people want you to believe.

Chris Grier fcking sucks. Debatably the worst GM in the league. Nothing personal but I have no idea how some can still defend this guy.

this is the money line from the article. maybe i will run a poll, who is worse at their job, grier or eichenberg? actually i think i might do that. Any predictions on how the voting turns out in percentage terms grier v eichenberg who sucks more at what they do?

"He is the Liam Eichenberg of general managers, given yet another chance to prove his worth, playing to a public chorus hoping to finally see in him what Ross once did."

Thank you for your contribution

This article leaves me thinking Dave Hyde is the Liam Eichenberg of journalists

Grier had the chance after tearing down the team to aquire picks for the 2020 draft.
He built through that draft and then changed his mind and started to trade picks for established players in Hill and Chubb and Ramsey.
This is his team.
McDaniel is his coach.
Now this season it's time to either show us we can win our division or it a total rebuild.
Ross I fear will keep him in 26 as he seems incapable of sacking Grier who has had his hand in the Organisation for like 20 years
