On Gameday, someone was holding a sign saying "wannstedt mustache bash tonight". :rofl3: I put some money down on Pitt tonight, because Wanny, I think is going to be a good college coach. Horrible Nfl coach, but will do well in college. I hope he does well tonight though, it should be an interesting game, since Charlie Weiss is coaching too.
 
isn't it weird to see someone actually cheering for wanny? I just had to sit there watching for a minute to let my mind understand that people were cheering for the same man that was a plague on our beloved franchise
 
I basically view Wanny the same way he spoke about Miami recently. I don't give a rats what happens down there. He screwed this franchise. He quit and walked away mid year after he butchered this team - why would I give a rats how he does or what he does. He was a terrible hire and a worse coach. This team regressed every year he was here. He blasted Ricky for quitting and then what did he do?
 
I just can't hate a man that was such a nice guy though, he sucked don't get me wrong, but he wanted to bring the franchise to a superbowl. That man gave a lot of his life, and hair to this franchise. He was alway stressed out pulling his hair.:lol: He is a good guy no doubt, so that's why I like him. I'll still cheer for him anyday, as long as he isn't a coach for the dolphins.

I think if he didn't walk away he would have been fired anyway.
 
Im actually a pitt fan so I have to watch him again this year....although I think he is much better suited for college
 
Being an ND fan I hope wanny gets blown away. I already see that he is trying to take away from the pitts team strength, which is passing and trying to get a running game going. I hope he falls big time tonight for my ND team and to see wanny go down.

Anyways, I'm rooting for Wanny this year and I hope he does well. He isn't someone that I really would root against, because he's a nice guy and everything.

Yeah, forced resignation is more accurate.

ditto.... everyone and their grandma in south florida was wanting him outta there. It was more like a "huizenga telling wanny to quit to save face over being fired" kinda thing...
 
Hopefully he falls flat on his face tonight. If he runs the ball a lot he is just a horrible coach and should be shot. Palko destroyed NDs secondary last year, and it is our biggest weakness. Im not sure who there RB is, but atleast last year our run d was pretty solid
 
Tyler Palko and Lee are both studs. I think Wanny will do alright at Pitt, and think he maybe better for the college game, but I think Weis is better for the pro game, I don't know why nobody hired him. I heard a story about Wanny from an editor of a magazine, where they had who has the best Wannstedt mustache contest last year, when the editor seen Dave, he told him he was the editor, and Dave states "I don't give a .... who you are, now get the .... out of my face." I just thought that was funny for some reason.
